Druckmann ruined one of the signature strengths at ND - pacing. Yes, the design is now outdated, but the roller-coaster ride from them was unmatched.

I'd like a 3rd game but I was hoping that with constant negative reviews from the majority of consumers about everything woke that the top executives would un woke the story to acceptable levels for the 3rd game.

I also want to see what happened before the first game with Joel and tess.

Id take uncharted over tlou, we got 2 recently then a remake of 1 then a tv show and we will get a live service game.

I'm sure The Last of Us 3 is in early pre-production. TV series is coming so Sony probably doesn't want to wait too long for a new game. Also the game needs to come out before season 3.
