If your Child of Light is R3 (Asian) and it looks like it (catalogue VLAS 36064), you have to download the 1.01 update to enable English support, and then switch your vita language to English (United States). Then it should show up in English text on your home screen.
If for any reason you have your vita set to English (United Kingdom) it will stay in either Chinese or Japanese

How does Remote play work from across the globe? I'd imagine it would be laggy as allll hell
It was a bit laggy. Watch Dogs would run OK and then stop for a bit. Trials Fusion was difficult due to the lack of control on the throttle but did seem to run better than Watch Dogs. Child of Light was perfectly playable as it's turn based. Occasionally the picture would break up but it would quickly recover.
It was actually better than I expected. The internet was very slow to any US site, so I didn't expect it to work at all.

Regardless of how well it worked, I still find remote play to be like magic. You are literally on another part of the planet and you're playing a game machine that's in your home. Man... technology is crazy.

-I was psyched to find a Twilight Princess guide in good shape (but missing the poster) for $7 at Half-Price Books last weekend.
Flash forward to yesterday evening - I find a better condition Twilight Princess guide (with the poster!) and all of the other guides for under $2 each at Goodwill. D'oh!
-I got a new set of speakers on Amazon and they sound fantastic! Definitely a huge upgrade from my previous setup (Energy Take Classic 5.1's).
-Got some new stuff to watch and test out my new speakers.
-I got a lot of great Nintendo stuff in the last few weeks - some of which I've wanted for ages!
I got Wii Chess, Congo's Caper, & the Secret of Mana 2 repro on eBay, Solar Jetman & Naruto at resale shops, and Wii Sports Club for $25 via Target's pre-order promo last week.
-Some more cool Nintendo stuff: the Zelda Musou Treasure Box, Donkey Kong figure, and Yoshi 3DS XL.
