I can't help but notice the number of users who only just signed up this year to post and are getting themselves banned for trolling is on the rise. Possibly because we are nearing the launch of these next-gen consoles. I think it's a shame because on this site you have a unique opportunity to really delve deep into why you like certain games or don't like certain games and you can do that without getting caught up in the console warring. And you have users who sign up because they genuinely want to have an honest, informative discussion on hardware too.
I guess you can't escape console wars, even on NeoGAF, but I will say that I appreciate the mods are doing their part to keep the Gaming side as respectable as can be while maintaining a laid-back, community-driven flow of discussion. That said, I think it will really help if the usual suspects (those who have been around longer than 2020) try to restrain from posting clickbait, "punching down" of the competition content. Any time you post a thread, you have to realize there are thousands of users reading it and even more who are lurking.

I was fooled by the copypasta today...I'm still fairly new here. But, yeah...trolls will always enter into forums for a certain demented priority. in this case, the dawn of new consoles launching is going to lure in trolls. Many will lose thread posting privileges and come here to the Ban thread to shout "it was unjust!"
