TLoZ (NES) not making the top 20 is a crime, and bizarre to me.
I hate the open ended, multiple mission per level design philosophy of it. Give me tight, lazer focused platforming stages.
Fair enough. I actually think Mario
should be point A to point B platforming most of the time, but Mario 64 pulled off the open-world style so flawlessly that it doesn't matter. Galaxy ended up being the best of both worlds. Each star is a straight shot, but you visit each level multiple times as a kind of world-building exercise.
