Got Clear, played with it for a while, and I agree with Gaaraz: it's fast, intuitive and nice to use, but I has so many functionalities lacking that I can't even consider it as a replacement for Reminders.
At least, at the very least, I need timed reminders, and it has to sync with the iPad (well, first step would be to have an iPad version of it).
Yeah, Clear is great but when I get my iPad 3 i'm going to near clear syncing. Also, I wish there was some sort of web app where I can view my lists and to-do's there, on my Mac.

I just got it and i'm loving the the far swipe up and down to navigate, it's easier than pinching, esp. when holding with one hand.

They need to find an intuitive way to be able to create 'alert' reminders though, reminder A and B preferably, where you can set a time and date for each.

Thinking about an iPad version though, man it would look so bare...

PS. I absolutely love the sound effects, very dynamic.

I really want to use Clear but I can't see myself switching from something that has Siri functionality and web syncing.

I have echofone/twitter/tweetdeck on the ipad and I always just use default twitter for IOS. whats so good about tweetbot that makes it an essential purchase. Have bought games for $.99 so the $2.99 price tag seems like they're asking a bit too much for it (especially when I've bought 2-3 other tweeting software)

I havent used it since it was released so i dont know how much better it has gotten but other than the nice clean interface it was nothing special. Had a lot of bugs too. I assume they've worked on fixing most since then.

What would people say is the best running app? I switched from imapmyrun(free) to nike+($2), and I like it a lot more, but think I should see if there's anything better still before investing more runs with it.

hmmm just noticed that there is no 'best reminder/ to do app' on the list gaaraz.

After using it for a year or so, I still find 2do to be the best. Has a ridiculous amount of features and support and is packaged in a slick and user friendly interface.

It ain't cheap... which is the only flaw.
Talk about robust. That's like for secretaries and shit, it's pretty packed. I don't think most people need anywhere near that kind of reminder capabilities.

It's like, you could spend so much time configuring all your reminders and alerts and to-do's, versus actually doing the tasks that you need to do. :p

Different strokes though and all that, though.

Im trying to find the name of an app, it allows you to make a gif, by you recording a short video (about 5 secs) using the front camera, then you can pick the individual frames from that short video, which is then put together to make a gif

Can't say enough about TuneIn Radio Pro. Use it every single day for listening to podcasts, live streams, local radio, NPR. It's a powerhouse.

Gif Camera? iMotion HD? StopMotion? Those are the only ones I know.

Anyway, I need some help. My twitter account is 'private' so I get follower requests, but for the life of me I can't figure out how or where to view and approve/deny requests in Tweetbot. Anyone know how?

[edit] Also, why can't I see interactions like I can with the stock app? I can only see if someone @replied me, but not if they favorited a tweet of mine. Oh and is there no way to get push notifications for any tweet that comes out of a specific username/account? I'd like that for some accounts like close friends and breaking news, etc.

Are there any simple reminder apps that allow you to keep their entry in notification center until they've been completed? Preferably without needing to set a date either (otherwise I'd just use the default app).

I think the only one that could do something like this is Apple's Reminders app, because it's allowed to break the rules like the default Calendar is.

Third party apps can only use notification center to house temporary messages that are cleared either manually by the user or when the user boots the app.

I don't use the notifications in Tweetbot, so not sure about that, but you can do this with Boxcar. It's free, universal (iPhone/iPad), also has a Mac version. Works really well.

Oh I use it pretty 'casually' these days.

A ton of things are customizable and can be rearranged so you can pop out reminders, lists, alarms in seconds.

Its easily enough to use, but also on the occasion that you need something specific, it will be there.

I'm with you on that.

The most I want is a notifications feature. No need for special notes, online access, Calendar functionality or any other feature that I'll never use.

Socialite theme.

To unlock @UseClear's Socialite theme, make, complete, and clear 100 items in a list. Prompt will show to tweet, do it. #clearbonus

Went and ahead and grabbed Clear for .99. Have to say the UI is very nice and creative. I may actually use the app more than I normally would any other to do app just to use the interface. It would definitely benefit from notifications though.

That socialite theme is very nice. By far the nicest IMO.

So many great ideas, but it really is quite useless for me. For example I've had a smart gas/elec meter fitted earlier, so the clocks on my house are all out. I need to set a reminder for early tomorrow morning (ie to ensure I read it before going to work) to check that the clock on the central heating is correct... really hit home that there is absolutely no chance I can use Clear exclusively, and using two lists apps? Meh.

Likewise I'll quite often have lists I need to reference or use on my PC, this is especially tricky on the HTPC since I rarely bother with the keyboard, just copy and paste from my lists to my PC

I know these things are maybe quite specific to me, but generally having a lists app that only stays on one device is surely going to be a real sticking point for most people? And no timed/dated reminders isn't ideal either imo

I made myself an empty list just to read the quotes that come up. They have quite a lot packed in, from Steve Jobs to Oprah to Buddha to Henry Ford, just really fun to go through them.

I'm kind of in the same park as you Gaaraz, i'll still have to use another app for some stuff, which is a real downer on making me stick with Clear. I still think it'll be my premier app though, for now.

ALSO, I realized that instead of pinching to open a gap in-between two reminders and a to-do, you can just pull up or down with two fingers side by side. Works great.

I like how perfect my list feels.

Irony being I posted that, and the push notification didn't even work for me with Wunderlist, hm!

Pull up or pull down with two fingers sounds neat, much prefer that to pinching, thank you!

Another vote for this. What I like the most is that it synchs with the reminders app, and therefore synchs my iPad, iPhone lists. Sometimes for simple reminders I just use the basic reminders app. But if I need more info I use the 2do app. Either way, the task ends up in both apps

It does look complicated nowadays, but that's cuz they keep adding new features. I still barely use any of them.

Hmm you don't use the iPad 2do?

The interface is pretty nice.

You open it up and add a friend or two to it and then they're purple and you're blue and you can text "i know where you are. :] <3"

Do they have to have the app and an iphone as well? Every person in my country uses a blackberry, and I mean EVERY single one.

They have to have an iPhone, they have to the app installed, and they have to give specifically you permission to see their location.

9 out of 10 cell phone users in my country use them.BBM has ruined communication in my country, people sit at dinner tables, bars, movies chatting on BBM.There was a chick I used to see who sat on BBM constantly, I warned her that if she sat on BBM when I am around I would break her phone.

And so one day we ere driving to dinner and she was sitting in silence chatting on BBM as usual, I grabbed it and threw it out the window. It felt soo good, never saw her again and their was drama afterwards but it was one of the best feelings ever, fuck blackberry and BBM, fuck it up its stupid ass.

But ya that app looks cool.

Are you from one of those rich Middle Eastern countries (I hear Blackberry is popular there) where money comes out of the ground and you can throw cell phones out windows without abandon?

Nope not the middle east, and blackberry's because of them being everywhere, are pretty cheap here. And the throwing the phone part was because I had reached that point of no return, when something pisses you off so much you just cant take it anymore. So out the window that little piece of black shitty plastic went, trust me if you were me you would do the same.

Deleted Clear. Feels good man.

Reminded me in a way of TinyTower (wait, bear with me!) in that it has an amazing charm and appeal, don't ask me why but I just really wanted it on my phone... but I just knew that somewhere down the line, I'd end up really regretting the time I invested into it.

So yeah, half way through importing my lists into Clear, I just thought... nope

Wunderlist all the way for me, wonky push notifications and all (have emailed them to hopefully get it fixed!)

$1 WASTED. TBH, I'm thinking of reverting back to Reminders simply for awesome Mac integration (with Mountain Lion).

How can you regret the time you've spent on a to do app?

I don't get it.
I have lots of items in Wunderlist. To move them across would take ages.

Reminders has potential, but no ability to prioritise or even re-order tasks is a deal breaker IMO

Reminders not syncing with Snow Leopard iCal is what stops me from using it. So annoying.

Clear does it's job, will use it for now.

There's a Sparrow mail app coming soon, oh la la. The gmail one is pretty meh IMO.

Yeah, I'm really excited/curious about this. You know, its not gonna be the default mail app. Maybe the share menu will be opened up in iOS6 but for a while at least its going to be kinda neutered.
