A Japanese TV show I watch on a regular basis—and who is already a bit questionable in the jokes they make at their transgender guests expense—recently switched to using "ladyboy" as their way to tell somebody that the person is trans (versus "they used to be a man" or "they want to become a woman").

Not like the show had a great record in the first place, but that switch rubbed me the wrong way.
