Yeah I was afraid I'd mess up a lot of shots due to crowding, different ceiling heights and then the night shots were pretty much the roughest lol. Good to see you again too. My next con might be Otakon and/or DragonCon but New York Comic Con is definitely on the map.

Went to Wizard World Portland this weekend. Had it's moments, but overall was the most ehhhhhhh convention I've attended so far in 2013. Here's what I saw:

Yeah that Xena is 10/10
He did the voice and would crawl around creepily, which freaked out some of the attendees. Loved it!
Armored? Don't recall ever seeing one. I have seen about two or three lab coat Gordons, mainly in the Seattle area at PAX Prime and Sakura-Con. There's a good Headcrab guy around this area and a friend of mine was a Metrocop for quite a while, too. Most of the Valve cosplay is Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, and Portal nowadays.
Yea, I would be doing one in the HEV suit. It helps that I look just like him, glasses, beard, hair and all. Thanks for the info!

I'm actually happy to see that he can still get around. I know in the last episodes I saw his movement was starting to get hindered a lot (more than normal).

Any ideas for a father/daughter video game related costume combo for my <1 year old and I?
It would have to be pretty simple, without too much in the way of elaborate decorations.
I already have a Mario costume, so I am planning a Toad costume for the little one, but I was hoping for some other cool suggestions.
I do have a Link Master Sword and Hylian shield at home, but I don't have the right body shape for Link (I'm definitely more of a Mario build). I love the Mega Man costumes I have seen on children and would probably be able to whip something up for myself as Dr Wily.
You get bonus points if you can make a suggestion for a trio, as I might be able to convince my partner to come along too.

I have a couple ideas that come right to mind that sound fairly simple and you seem to dig Nintendo stuff. So either be King Dedede and your kid can be Kirby (or Metaknight if you're more a fan there) or be a Pokemon Trainer and your kid could be Pikachu or whichever notable Pokemon you like. King Dedede might be a bit too elaborate since he has a pretty particular costume but the Pokemon trainer should be quite easy I would expect. And the kid wouldn't have to be in anything too crazy to be iconic as the appropriate characters.
There's really a good number of Nintendo properties, but it really just depends on what you consider elaborate for your side of things. Make yourself Captain Olimar and your kid could be a Pikmin (a slightly modified onesie would make a perfect Pikmin I'd think).
I could probably ramble off a good handful more but I suppose it'd be good to know if this is the direction you're thinking of.
