I definitely want the remastered boxed set but I ordered this anyway. The whole series for $40, can't beat that with a stick.

All you mofos BETTER take advantage of the Macross Box Set Close outs AND the PatLabor TV DVD deals (9.99 per DVD for volumes 1-9!!!)

Macross DVDs are DONE after this. When they're gone, they're gone. PatLabor? Well, that shit is just damn good anime people. DO IT.

Much, much, much better.

Dolby 5.1 and a video track that looks like the show was actually done in '95, instead of '75. The remastered run will also have both the original versions of the latter episodes, plus the remade versions (can't remember which eps were remade, like 22-26 or something).

I'm not touching the old DVD set, even at that price.

I bought it off eBay around the time it was released for close to $40 and it was worth every penny.

I got the barebones Jin-Roh DVD for less than 5 bucks from Amazon.com, and I still haven't watched it :\

What does this "Hybrid Format" thing mean? That Fruits Basket price actually doesn't look that bad considering each DVD alone usually costs $20-30.

P.S. Berserk is like less than 60 bucks or something ridiculous at Best Buy for the whole show.

Seriously though, while Slayers is absolutely great fun and hugely enjoyabe, id have to reccomend His and Hers, even though I personally like it the least out of all the shows Hideaki Anno directed. The first half is just fantastic, period. The second half not quite yet still pretty damn good. Animation quality dwindles yet Anno finds ways to get creative about it. The end hurts it, not arguable. I believe they wanted to pursue a second season but the original author wasnt happy about how it was turning out, sad fact but thats how it is. I can forgive the flaws because I really love how most of the characters are developped, even the secondary characters are given good spotlight...Music is fantastic as well of course.

Actually on second thought get Slayers, not sure how long itll be $25. The His and hers DVD deal will still be there, been there for a while....

Hmm...went looking around in Amazon to find the same thing, and noticed a lot of people were complaining about some major audio defects in the Slayers DVDs that the distributor refused to fix.

Hm? I remember hearing about this, but it was fixed. The one at rightstuf is the one with the new remastered audio.
