Well, we haven't done one of these in a while so I thought I'd start a new one. I was bored today so I sketched up a couple of Naruto characters. Nothing too fancy, just black ball-point pen work. Let's see all the new stuff you've been hiding!

Right on! We've needed one of these. Those look pretty good! The shirt in the first one is a bit confusing, as it appears nothing else is affected by the wind. And I love your signature.

I'll post some stuff later. A few more hours worth of work to go on this most recent one. I'll probably post an in-progress before it's done, though.

This guy is from a mini-comic I'm trying to complete... the character's a parody of bishonen RPG heroes(Cloud in particular), crying about his inner angst.

This one's an attempt at a comic book-ish coloring.

Catapult - I'd definitely suggest spending a lot more time refining your figure drawing. That poor woman's boobs. . . @_@

If you don't already have a copy, I'd suggest picking up either Dynamic Figure Drawing or How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way. Don't turn up your nose at HTDCTMW, I hate the "House of Ideas" more than the average fellow, but the book does a good job of covering several bases between it's covers.

Both should be readily available at the local liberry.

Take Out: Oh, I know. I've been trying to improve my figure drawing for a while, but it's slow going for me. I've heard of those books you mentioned, but haven't read them. I know my library has the Marvel book, I'll check that out.

Hey, I appreciate you asking. Yeah, I'm still working on it, though it won't be finished until 2006 I'll post an update when I'm ready. It's looking quite impressive. For the meantime, all I can really show is a preview of the new website. I just wish I had a motion capture studio. I actually looked into buying one and turning one of my rooms into a motion capture area, but it's way the hell expensive even for the cheapest on the market.

I've been practicing with some of those how to draw manga books lately, my figures where always just girls that had small heads on a pair of boobs with a big ass and stick arms with tree trunk legs, it looked awkward. I'm trying to get into a proper figure 8 style female with better proportioning but it's tough.

Males on the hand, I never really drew them much but it took me a single night with a book to figure it out, much easier to draw a man then a women. Although I still have troubles with feet and hands.

I can't say I'm too proud of Archer's Heaven. I mean, I'm proud of the quality having done it in college, but as far as looking at it from a professional stand point, it has poor models, sloppy animation, and a lame story.

3rd Sky is a very well thought out story. Pre-production on films is SOOOO important (it sets the stage for the rest of production) and 3rd Sky has had some much more than AH. I'm really proud of the story this time around. I've already started writting my next film (ill have a teaser for it at the end of 3rd Sky part 2). I can't wait to start working on that one. I'm already liking my next film more than 3rd Sky.

It's acrylic with a bit of gesso thrown in for good measure. Oil gives lovely results, but I can't do it often because it takes so much time to dry. I'll try to post something I did with oil later...

Dice: Sweet style. Hard to pinpoint any distinct influence, but I know that I like it.
