I thought this was a new thread, and I was about to laugh.
You see, I have an interesting "power"...whenever I marathon a series, *something* new always tends to be announced right-after.
I read-through the entire JoJo series back in 2012, and right after I finished, a few days later ASB/the anime adaptation was announced.
Earlier this year, I watched Legend of Galactic Heroes, and right after, a new anime adaptation was announced.
Maybe when I finish my DBZ Marathon, they'll announce a new, full-series.

Whoops. Didn't watch many of the movies before BOTG because the ones I did...kinda sucked, so assumed this was the terrible super 17 gt garbage.

Freeza never trained because he was so far above everyone else. Toriyama can just say he worked out some new transformation levels in hell.
Can't do that, dende isn't powerful enough for that kind of wish.
They CAN wish for him to be immortal though, which could be very interesting. Even if his power is lower he could wear them out.

The 12th movie is actually a lot of fun. It's my favourite of the original Z films.
Maybe we'll get some insight into his actual race?

Over the Summer I watched all of the original Dragonball Z episodes for the first time ever. As a kid I'd watch it on CN whenever it was on and I even downloaded an episode beyond what was on syndication at the time (56k speed, good times).
What a wonderful anime, so many good values embodied by Goku and Gohan, just pure innocence and kindness no matter what. Love those guys. When I rewatch it, it'll be with Kai.
After I finished Z I tried GT. Ewww that was just not good, couldn't continue after the Mushroom people episode.
But then I started DB and that has been largely fantastic, arguably better than Z, but things got boring around the Red Ribbon army. There was that annoyingly long castle in the snowy mountains, and the last I left it the gang had discovered a treasure chest. I'm going to push through because I'm really looking forward to when Picollo becomes the primary villain.
I've barely touched the movies except watching a part of the one that describes Goku's father's story (I think it was that one).

Keep going with original DB, its so worth it. I know it can kinda slog on during the Red Ribbon Army arc but after its over it picks back up!

Watched BOTG a while back and didn't care too much for it. I think the main reason why is because it felt like nothing was at stake. Birius was just chilling, waiting for everything. I know he wanted to fight a god but still, the movie felt too tame.
With Frieza back, I'm hoping this movie is more serious. Also, Birius and his teacher appear to be in the new one too. I wonder if Birius's teacher will fight, since it was revealed he's actually stronger than Birius.

Giving Frieza immortality would essentially turn this movie into Dead Zone #3. I don't think they're going to go that route. I'm guessing Frieza achieves God status or just comes back a ton more powerful.

Glad to hear it. Yes I thought the Red Ribbon would be interesting as a link to Z, but they're totally boring. I want to see more of Pilaf, Shu and Mai, those guys are hilarious!

Frieza comes back and essentially acts like Deathstroke in Season 2 of Arrow? Slowly destroying everything around Goku?

Yamcha needs to fight Frieza considering Yamcha's power level is Absolute Zero.
Have Frieza Yamcha some of Goku's friends like Krillin, Tien, or have him go after Chi-Chi. Maybe have Frieza be able to suppress his power level so Goku can't track him down which lets Frieza play cat and mouse with Goku and Vegeta.
In fairness to Broly, that fight scene in the first Broly movie was quite good. It was really inventive and brutal.
He still sucks, though.
