New Dragon's Dogma Preview and Details

Definitely getting it this time.

I hope they release a DD: Portable for Vita with co-op and cross-platform PS3 play. Would be so awesome.

Think I'm gonna start my new game+ a few weeks before release and then transfer my save over. Should be able to do that right?

Interesting about the new "fast travel" system, I sure hated walking the same 1000 miles multiple times and encountering the same 10453 goblins

However the framerate (Mystic Knight hoooo) and black bars is the main reason I wont be getting Dark Arisen

Sven if you bring me a PC version I will bring you the dosh

That's not a pawn!

But it is still one of the worst pieces of voice acting this gen.

Well, the actual delivery isn't all that bad. It's just repeated. Every. Single. Damn time you talk to him. Record more lines Capcom and randomize that shit. >_>

This game is gonna eat me this month. Loved the original.

Also some more Ranger footage that showcases some interesting traversal using the climbing mechanics.

Very cool. Wanted to pick up the original a couple of months ago, but someone recommended me to wait a few for this version and it seems it is definately worth it.

Can't watch the video now but is it clear yet if you can do the new content anytime? I haven't finished up my post game since this was announced.

To the new DD players about to jump on board with the Dark Arisen release: if you ever hear a faint chiming sound when you talk to Asalam, the inkeep in Gran Soren, punch him until he doesn't like you any more. You'll thank me later.

FUCK:) That sucks.

You should still be able to sit your pawn down at an inn and tell them to adjust their rate of speech. You should at least be able to get them to talk as much as they did before the change.

Yes. You'll also get a reward for porting over data from the original. A shit-ton of RC and near-infinite Ferrystones, I believe.

Damn it this game looks awesome. So don't need more games :'( What do I do GAF? Dragon's Dogma DA or Soul Sacrifice? I can only get one this month.

Yup can only play if this is fixed.

The framerate may not have been perfect, but it's far from the broken mess people make it out to be. It's perfectly playable. Also the borders may be lame, but is it really a reason to not play the game? You must not watch many movies on dvd or bluray then either by that logic.

Anyway, very excited for this, DD is one of the best games this generation; a rough diamond that gets the fundementals right where most AAA games fuck them up completely.

Dragon's Dogma for the win. We already know it's an amazing game while Soul Sacrifice is still an unknown quantity.

Different kind of games. I love both but DD is a single-player RPG, SS is a multi-player focused action game.

Aw man kinda bummed about the pawns talking less. It had a cheesey charm to it like "YOU DEFEATED" from Dark Souls.

I wanted to love it, and I can definitely see the praise it gets and deserves. But man, for some reason it's different than watching a movie, it's so muddled I can hardly make out what's going on, and the black bars completely kills any immersion the game has going for it.

All that we know so far is that you have to be at lvl. 50 to start it, according to previews from February.
I'm right there at 50 so that's good. But I finished the game and am right at the start of a new game+. I hope I can go right to the new content because if not, there is no way I'm going through the whole game again.

Can't wait to get this. I got the platinum and 1k for both systems I loved it so much. On a technical level I preferred the 360 version as I only really noticed the screen tearing while running around town. Mystic Knights were slide show producers on the PS3. It also suffered from little stutters more frequently. That said I'm going to get this on the PS3 though. Both versions were more than fine.

As much as I loved DD, I'm playing that other capcom game on Wii U right now and I'm hooked. Will have to pick this one up later, I can't wait to see what you guys think about it in the mean time.

You can. When you load your game, a new NPC will be at the docks of the town you start in. Talk to her and accept the quest, then you will be transported to the new locations where Dark Arisen takes place in.

I'll be curious to see if anyone used my pawn all this time.

Be prepared to receive over a million RC. I checked my Pawn the other day (I haven't touched the game in 10 months) and I had a lot of gifts and RC waiting for me. It was crazy.

Bought Dragon's Dogma for $15 recently and I am enjoying the shit out of it. This is how I exactly wanted White Knight Chronicles to play like. Thank you, Based Capcom.
Just working my way to get the platinum now and I will buy Dark Arisen, then hand my original copy to my friends to spread the awesomeness of this awesome game.

Have they mentioned anything about the trophies? Will it be a new set like Super Street fighter 4 or will they just add new trophies on top of the original set?

That's cool I'll likely be picking this up then. And count me as liking the pawn chatter, the repetitive stuff is more funny to me than anything (like the waycastle remark, etc.)

rented DD a while back and enjoyed every minute I had with it but damn it I don't really want to buy the PS3 version but it looks like I'll have to. Give us our pc version, Capcom!

Not liking that the Pawns talk less. My Pawn was a real chatterbox

Here's hoping the PS3 version has improvements with the frame rate.

Heck, make a PC version Capcom!
