There was a car tech demo I believe that shown something awesome in that matter. And I'm talking about physics and form of the water, it didn't have all the shaders to make it look that real, but that's what should be done in games themselves. Look at Lair and it's giant sea with water looking and moving as real as you can get, and Warhawk, where it reacts to the plane flying over it. Pretty awesome stuff. All the dev needs to do is take the ready physics engine, and combine it with their rendering engine.antipode said:You sure about that? Even the PhysX demo specific for water just had some blobby stuff.
I'm guessing there's some trick here, like a canned animation 'spray' for the water.

If summons were created by the crystals, then it kinda makes using them by Lightning, a conflict of interests. If she wants to destroy the crystal, why would she use it's powers?
But they can't be going back to FFVII's "use CG each time you summon" in this modern day and age.
There's people from both the FFX and FFX-2 teams working on this.

I thought FFXII was the best as far as gameplay and content; it was a killer game that belongs in the FF rank just as much as the others, IMO. But story wise, I wasn't a big fan. I think it's a great game and while I did get a small FF "feel" from it, I felt they dropped the ball in other areas.

Even though he was only a producter in FFX, he was its main writer alongside Nojima (Kitase wrote about half of the story and created most of the concepts). Seems like the same with FFXIII, as many of the story's concepts revealed so far are very Kitase-ish, imo. Will he ever work as closely on one as he did on FFVII and FVIII? No, now that he's been 'promoted' to producer status he'll be overseeing the work of Toriyama and other directors, just like Sakaguchi did before him.
