New gameplay screenshots of The Order 1886

Weapon clipping on the main character's back annoys me to no end. Pretty bad oversight.

otherwise, amazing looking game. Let's hope it also tries to do something new mechanically within its genre to compliment these amazing graphics - it would be too bad to see the effort and money being wasted on a generic formulaic cover-shooter.

Wow, what a spectacular game.

Dat mustaches... that soft look.... that character design...

Btw, this is the first time we managed to see monster claw marks on the neck of Lady Ingraine.

Those scar look NASTY (in a good way).
I am generally impressed with this.

I'm starting to need some gameplay to get behind the game again. When it was first announce at E3 it blew my mind. But they keep showing concept stuff or talking more than actually showing anything concrete. I hope that changes soon.

The way the camera/player is positioned. Also, I thought it was mentioned that the Order will somewhat have a Gears of War-esque gameplay? I.e. Snap-to cover and running/gunning transition. Could have read it wrong. Either way, I'd really like to see a complete gameplay demonstration of a finished level.

Sure will.

:D

Character models look really good (outside of some weapon clipping on the back), the environment on the other hand isn't that impressive.

Let's see how the game does in motion, and how the gameplay is.

I understand what they mean by "filmic" now, and it looks great. Going into that dark building with the lanterns and seeing those mutilated bodies.... going to be awesome.

This will be RAD's breakout title the same way Second Son will be Sucker Punch's breakout title. Prepare to be elevated to greatness.

It renders hotel wall murals and footprints much better though.

No it does not because it's pretty silly to compare an unfinished project with TLoU.

Pretty sure once 1886 is done it will destroy The Last of Us graphics wise.

but let's not go there again...

You know what this game needs, gameplay-wise? Mystery. It's got such a Victorian mystery vibe. It would be so great if there would be some element of investigating a mystery and following clues to go with the action. That would set it apart from Uncharted-style third-person adventure/shooting.

I still find it hard to believe, this must be bull-shot or something.
This quality of graphic+soft body physic+volumetric fog+destructible environment? Can PS4 really pull off all this?

I was VERY lukewarm on this game at E3 but this stuff is making me excited. Has instantly jumped to my most anticipated next-gen game alongside Titanfall.

eurogamer initially called this game "Gears of Whitechapel"

Could turn out to be quite an apt name. I love Gears so I don't take any negative connotations from the comparison.

Does The Order have multiplayer?
