WHAT?
Course Maker
This feature, available at a later stage through an update, will allow you to create your own custom tracks that can be driven in the game. Additionally, in another update we will add the possibility to generate a track by capturing the GPS coordinate data of a mobile app while you are driving that course. This GPS-generated tracks will be available in the game as playable content.
One of my minor gripes with GT5 was that the world was devoid of stars.
GT5 did have starsI photographed some myself.

But wasn't that specific to Toscana? I don't think the Ring or La Sarthe had them.
250 GTO?
*throws $60 at them*
Can't wait.
Maybe it'll heal you of Nissan fanboyism? And I simply don't know what's going to happen to my brain when GT7 is revealed. Probably an aneurism.

Is there any Special/Collector's Edition of the game?
Had a look over the track list. None of the city tracks have day/night or weather, such a shame.
There is a 15th Annniversary Edition for pre-order at Gamestop or Amazon.
Amazon gets you 5 cars + 1,000,000 game money
Gamestop gets you the same 5 cars + another 20 cars in special Gran Turismo 15th Anniversary Liveries + Special Racing Suit / Helmet and Car Paints.
http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/products/gt6/preorder/#anniversary - you can see the cars here.
While I generally don't like to buy at Gamestop, they have the better offer because
1) You can always work and get 1,000,000 credits just by playing the game and building up your money over time.
2) If the Limited Edition cars are anything like the Chrome / Stealth Limited Edition Cars of GT5, These cars will only be available as Pre-Order only and will never be released as DLC. Well the Chrome / Stealth models were never released as DLC at least.
That's why I went with the GS pre-order, because I just don't want to run into the same situation with GT5 all over again being unable to ever get the special Chrome / Stealth cars.

I thought the Anniversary Edition was exclusive to Gamestop in the US?
The GT page thinks so anyway.
I only jumped into GT with GT5.
Any chance of some cars/progress/rewards carrying over from GT5 to GT6? Like if it detects a GT5 savegame? Anything like that happen with this series before?
Ah it appears you are right. I misread the thing and thought there was two versions of the 15th Ani version.
Well I guess that clears up that mistake on my part. Well good thing I didn't pre-order at Amazon thinking I was getting the special edition with just a bunch of starting money. That would have been silly mistake if I did such a thing.

SEMA is in full swing.

Yes, PD has done that before.
Yeah it's really bad and it's the main reason I stopped playing GT5 after a while. The worst sound effect in the whole game is the low-res bassy thud you get when colliding with other cars or into barriers. That thing gave me a headache every single goddamn time.
And the engine sounds are absolutely pathetic which is a complete shame because selecting the car in the garage menu actually produces a pretty decent sound effect but all of that is lost when doing the actual racing.
The issue here is that not many people have a sound system that exposes the flaws in the game's sound design so it's primarily a vocal minority like us who are complaining about it.
Heh. The only grind I appreciate in racing games is the time and practice it takes to really learn a track, to understand its rhythm, or a particular car, and to get the gold in an event.Kind of bugs me, since i will be taking advantage but i think the best part of the game is getting that first used car and saving for tune-ups.![]()
Lame, about the hacking I mean, and the desire to hack the savegames in the first place. They won't carry over from GT5 to 6, too many people hacked their save files, they don't want those transferring over.

Currency systems in games bum me out more than anything these days, as I don't like busywork. I like advancement and overcoming challenges, but not when those challenges simply involve repeating the same motions again and again.
Which is a bummer because just about every game out there thinks these grinds are the greatest things ever right now.

I had to check who posted this, at first i thought it was Dennis..![]()
WHAT?
Your last paragraph might be the problem, people who use TV speakers and comment on sound should probably just stop.
Still, I think Forza would sound better than GT even on a TV, it's just better vehicle samples.
Absolutely, which is why I worded it like that. Its a bummer that people feel the need to hack their savegames to overcome a grind. The desire you mention in the second part of your post is due to exactly what you complain about in the first part though. Hacking a save didn't make anyone a better driver, it just got them access to content without the grinding.
The Nissan DeltaWing has gone missing in the car list!

But its not a grind while you're still having fun, which tends to happen with the breaking in period in any game. We'll see how GT6 works out, but am steeling myself for the moneyhunt.
