According to the current car list, unfortunately no.

This brings up a glaring omission on the car list (in my opinion at least) of the complete lack of a Ford Escort Cosworth RS.

Or any car with a Cosworth engine such as the RS1600.

The only Cosworths in the game is the RS200

Edit : I just saw the that the Mercedes Benz 190-E 2.5 EVO II is also in the game (It has a Cosworth Engine), so that's another. Still no Focus RS Cossie though :(
GT7 better deliver!

Must say, as odd as I thought the decision was for a December release, I'm damn glad my last PS3 game will be a GT game. Just feels right.

Some things from GTPlanet:

Answer to random arm thing (It is just a marketing campaign trying to be viral). No, that is not creepy or disturbing or confusing at all...:

this is a pretty awesome campaign. Feels like old school sony

EDIT: Apparently, the Japanese marketing has started:

This is also awesome.

It's a fantasy track based on an actual location using the real life roads. If they altered the route then it wouldn't properly represent the actual course, no?

Shit, I never knew you this was based on an actual place, I totally would have gone out of my way lol. I still feel like R246 is the greatest city based track in any racing game.

We haven't seen any yet. I think people have asked Rushy if there are any urban tracks in DC but he didn't deny or confirm anything.

Are these all taken from the sculpture they used at last years Goodwood Festival?

yes.

Seems odd they would have probably needed to licence them for inclusion but haven't included them in the car list [although from looking at the GT6 pictures none of those cars seem to have interiors modelled] ... they also neglected to model the recent E20 that was featured on the display too ...

they must have got the license unless the team lotus cars came job lot with the goodwood licensing deal and can only be shown and not driven?

i don't believe that so these cars must have been modelled in full or will be, the lotus99t needs doing for the senna mode.

why the missing lotus f1 and ferrari cars?

have turn 10 swooped in and made a deal seeing as they have the e21?

have polyphony opted to dump the chumps for the champs?

can't have adrian newey in the game without his rb babies, i wonder if we'll get all 9 rb cars or just the championship winners?

I haven't been keeping up as much - is there a better solution to cockpit view for standard models now or is it still the black silhouette? I hope so - I cannot understand for the life of me why we can't have just a generic, but nicely detailed 3D cockpit.

Just saw a TV ad for the game in Finland, F1 race rerun break. Pretty surprised :)

Improved damage? Hope it's nice. My first used car will be looking like a proper beater

Does anyone else here besides me not actually want pre-order bonuses like these? I'd rather have the satisfaction of starting from the very bottom and working my way up.

Consider this, you don't need to use the cars they give you.

Also the fact that the Chrome line and Stealth livery cars from the GT5 Limited Edition were never released as DLC on PSN, meaning that was the only way to possibly get them ever.

So if you pass up on getting the GT6 15th Anniversary livery cars, chances are just like GT5's Bonus Cars you won't be able to get them in the future.

Of course it's just narrows down to the point of having the self control to not actually use these and still built yourself up and have access to them when you eventually want to drive them, or pass on them still needing to build yourself up from nothing and never being able to use them period.

What you interpret as the better value is up to you.

I still don't know if i should buy the brazilian version or not. When they announced the Senna deal we had no idea if it's region specific or not. I know the PS3 is not region locked, but what if the content can only be bought on the brazilian store?

I don't know, i guess i'm just being dumb, but i'm still undecided on what to do.

I'd rather not have them both for the stupid way that you'd have buy multiple copies of the game to get everything and also because I like to start from nothing.

Like Omega says though, I'm planning to ignore them until I'm well into the single player at least so it's not really a problem.

That is exactly what I plan to do. I mean if anything I'll just go into Arcade Mode and take them for a free drive or whatnot.

But I won't touch them in career mode until I get to the point that the cars I'm up against exceed their performance to make using them actually 'fair' in terms of competition.

In some of these shots the windows on the standard cars look a lot more transparent than in GT5.

great, so yet another "driving simulator" that cant actually simulate the greatest line of automobiles on the planet but instead replace them with the same decades old RUF models that appeared in all the other Forza and GT game...except that 1 DLC pack that one time...

wut? there are tons of awesome cars in GT. Might be lacking in some areas but the variation is unrivaled.

To be fair I think PD and Kazunori would want them in the game as much as yourself. Then again we do have the original in game! ;)

It's not PD's fault t hat EA doesn't want to play ball with the Porsche license.

Yeah, shame on RUF for not being the real thing!

It's a slap to RUFs face for getting thrown by the wayside for 9 years while other vehicles get upgraded to premium. Geez even 1 Premium RUF is too much to ask?

It's sad when even your competitor does a better representation of RUF when faced with the same lack of Porsche dilemma.

I get it, they don't have the racing heritage or decades of amazing road and racing cars that Porsche has, but they certainly have plenty of vehicles in their lineup, past or present, that's worthy of inclusion/updating in GT games.

Then again, we're talking about the same company that continually ignores something as common as an E30 M3 like it never existed.

Yes blame, PD due to the Porsche license has been available only through a sub-licensing deal with EA. Pff!

PD compared to other dev studios is actually relatively small with only 110 employees, it's ridiculous to expect PD to pay EA for their ridiculous sub-licensing fee. (compared to the larger Turn10 with over 300 employees not mention funding back from Microsoft)

Even Turn10 had to go through some ridiculous hoops just for EA to "agree" to get them to use the Porsche license in Forza 4 in that expansion pack.

http://www.1up.com/news/forza-4-blocked-including-porsches-ea
http://jalopnik.com/5834368/porsche-doesnt-care-about-video-game-people

The implication from T10 with regards to the Porsche DLC pack was that it required a fairly large sum of money to get the sub-license back (and it only applies to FM4, so any future Forza games may not get them again, either). Since EA gets to decide the price for each party that's interested.

I doubt the asking price EA gives to PD for the Porsche license won't be any less reasonable then what Turn10 got.

Are you ok there, buddy?

PD shouldn't show any favoritism toward Porsche by paying some ridiculous fee to get them in the game. If they want to sell their license off to someone else then so be it.

WTF, EA has the exclusive rights to Porsche?

...ugh... yet another reason to hate EA.

They've had it for some time. During GT5's development Kaz was asked about Porsche in GT5 and he said that they were in discussions about it, which indicated that EA's contract had ended. A few months later Kaz was asked about it again and mentioned that Porsche was once again under an exclusive contract. Shortly after that EA started bragging about Porsche in NFS.

And not to mention their 100 year or so history on the racetrack is missing because there's never a single racing Porsche on those crappy NFS games.

This license is a joke. It's like EA is wasting it just to piss us off. I wish i knew more details, because it doesn't make sense for a game like GT to not have access to this.

GTPlanet's preorder guide

Amazon and Gamestop are the only US retailers with any bonuses it looks like.

Whichever territory you are in – besides Australia – any preorder of any version of Gran Turismo 6 comes bundled with a 5 car preorder bonus pack – termed the “Precision Pack” in Europe.

LOL, nice work PD/Sony/Australian retailers, you twats.

It's not PD's fault t hat EA doesn't want to play ball with the Porsche license.

It is PD's fault they don't do anything with the RUF license though. RUF make some amazing cars, and PD are fools for not using them since Porsche is fucked up.
