I hope the bring back online match-making like they had in Prologue. Can't believe they didn't bother to implement it in GT5.

Are there any shots of the new standards? I wonder what they upgraded visually.

All i could find was this shot in which there's an uproar about at gtplanet:

As Kaz said, they have only cleaned up the really bad ones. The rest will probably just look as they did in GT5.

(Althought they now have window wipers and extra parts)

Loving the look of those menus.

Vaguely unrelated: is there anywhere online where one can read transcriptions of the car descriptions written for each car in the game? You know, those 200/300 word blurbs that come up for each car in the dealerships. I've looked on GTPlanet and the Gran Turismo Wikia, but nada.

I'd think they'd at least upgrade the tail light textures, although I can't tell whether that's due to poor screenshot quality or them not upgrading the textures.

I looked at the edge of the premium mirror, it's blurred in the same way as the tail light. It's probably a poor screenshot.

They've probably been cleaned up.

I was shocked to see an AI overtaking a player lol

Well, the FTO Touring Car is lighter and more powerful than the Scirocco, but in GT5 it would have given up instead. So that is an improvement for sure.

This YouTube channel has them.

It's a shame we don't get voice overs like in the Japanese version.

It will be one of the integral functions of the virtual garage in the upcoming GT Mobile App.

Watching the Ascari videos, the battle between Jordan's Scirocco and the AI's FTO Touring Car :O The AI really is better.

First thing I noticed too. Holding the lines quite nicely inside or out, and minding the players car.

Also I noticed the triangle indicator (position indicator). Works well I think.

Yeah, hope that makes it to online. I like it how it changes colors and even blinks according to distance.

When does this come out?

I can see myself playing this more than anything else over the Christmas/New year period even though I should be getting a PS4 before the end of the year as well.

Hey guys, for a first time wheel buyer and somewhat of a beginner to simulation racers, should I go for the G27 or T500RS in your opinion? G27 price is obviously way more attractive but if the T500 drops to $300-$350 on Black Friday I could potentially go for it. Only thing I'm not liking is the no shifter included with the T500.

1 week away from PS4 and 2 weeks away from GT6. Is this real life? Also the AI looked great, well that one car did. Hope they keep up the improvements. Could make A Spec fun times.

well, I would wait until we know if G27 is compatible with PS4.... so far it is not. I know that would weight into my decision for sure.

Many of the posters here probably play GT for very different reasons than myself, I skipped out on GT5 but remember fondly my time with GT and GT3. I usually skip the second entry into the series with each platform, but for some reason, didn't get into GT5. Is the Poke'cars factor gone completely? I read in this thread the experience is gone, and well, that's kinda the whole point I play these games. I'm not a hardcore racing enthusiast or even know a lot about cars. For me, Gran Turismo has always been a car RPG, where you do these ridiculously challenging license in order to compete in races and build your library of amazing cars and pretty replays.

BUt if that aspect is gone in favor or being more traditional sim, I will skip it...

This is goint to be an agonising two weeks. Just keep thinking about them new tracks (along with the likes of Spa) and its like someone is shoving catnip up my nostrils

Can't wait until the epic meltdowns from the eventual Forza 5 vs GT6 comparison threads.

So apparently Microsoft moneyhatted Ferrari's LaFerrari and it's exclusive to Forza 5 for a certain period of time. 6 months, a year?

I think I will be biting the bullet and getting this even though my PS4 is coming next week. I think had Driveclub launched I may have ended up skipipng it, but I really want a fresh driving game and NFS isn't what I'm after.

I find unusual you skip 2nd entry of each, considering the fact that every evened number installment always has the qualities of the game that you seem to be looking for.

I mean look at the car roster from GT1 to GT2 (160 to 650), and GT3 to GT4 (181 to 722)

You want a massive variety of cars for the fact of Car Pokemon, I don't see any reason why you would want to avoid the evened number entries when they essentially refine and improve the overall experience while keeping the same engine of the previous game per console generation.

Whats that at the top of the screen?

I hope they dont overdo it with the stars at night. I mean, one of the cool things about night racing in gt5 was that it was pitch black.

It´s not? What do you mean, doesn´t even recognize the wheel? Fuck, i was not planning on buying a new wheel anytime soon... my G25 serves me just fine.

FFB wheel compatibility on the PS4 is handled on a game by game basis. Considering that GT has been compatible with Logitech wheels since essentially the dawn of time, I would say there is a pretty strong chance GT7 on the PS4 will be compatible with the G25/27.

While that might be true, I read that the old PS2 wheels from Logitech lost their FFB in GT5. I certainly wouldn't want to play GT without FFB at all.

Matterhorn at night

Credit to Abraxas at GTplanet.

that ui looks so cluttered. i wish they'd give you an option to turn on/off the individual elements like grid info (why on earth would anyone care about the names of the ai racers?), lap number, position etc. gorgeous looking shot, though. the atmospheric simulation looks improved.

Confirmed F1 cars in GT6:

Formula GT
Lotus 32B
Lotus 49B
Lotus 72E
Lotus 79
Lotus 99T

The Formula GT is the only one confirmed drivable so far.

They do, it was added with a GT5 update.

Where's the Matterhorn long track?
