If they're smart and want to control hype, they'll sign off with
"Thanks for joining us and we'll have another Nintendo presentation for you before the end of October/November/January next year" (delete as appropriate etc)
Would give a ballpark estimate and just stop people waking up every day saying "This is the day! Oh wait, it's not happening. Fuck Nintendo!"
If the reveal is within a month I wouldn't bother with that, of course.

This guy poked around the internal files of the game and seems to prove the contrary. He's not currently working on a translation patch though.
What was "hardcoded" seems to be the onomatopoeias, which are obviously graphic files.

At the same time, the crippling pessimism that there won't be any worthwhile announcements for the 3DS tomorrow in the first Direct since March is absolutely baffling to me. This sliding scale of blind optimism to blind pessimism is a bit ridiculous. It's like it works explicitly in extremes in these threads sometimes.

Has there ever been a simultaneous price cut across all regions? I don't think one has ever been the "one more thing" before...hopefully it isn't this time.
Also it's not weird but for massive games to only be announced for 3Ds a few months before hand. MH3U was announced in September and out in December for instance.

If Nintendo fans can hear a Sakurai talking about non-playable boss characters, see a caption below the screen saying "Other boss character appearances", and yet still think Ridley's shadow means he's a playable character instead of a boss... There is no limits to how unreasonable they can be.
The Ridley meme went completely out of hand. It doesn't make sense to me to this day.
