The textures and reflection maps are totally sucky. The rocks in the road look like plastic, in a serious "7th Guest/11th Hour," mid-90s in-game cutscene CG kind of way, and I can see the blurry-ass texture stretching even on objects that are far away. How the fuck can this game be on the same system that PGR3 is on!?
 
I haven't seen these pics before, so it's likely they are from the Beta kits.

I really hope that the graphics for the single player game are much better.

They are not. These are old pics and they can be found in the July issue of EGM. Same stage, same enemies, etc.

I don't know who's in charge of the Xbox 360 PR but he/she is doing a godawful job. So bad indeed that it looks like they are fucking things up on purpose, I'd think they actually have to put some effort to do it this wrong.

And the award for "most intrusive normal mapping on a ground texture" goes to... :p

Or bump mapping or whatever the hell they're using.

It looks all-right to me, nothing spectacular, but nothing awful either. I just wish devs would be a tad bit more subtle when using bump-maps/normal-maps. Sure, it's nice that you can show that the ground has a 3D element, but it just looks awful when it's overdone like this.
 
Those PD0 shots are from the old build. How can it possibly be a new build? It's the old build.

...Oh, silly me -- I nearly sounded like a damage controlling Xbot.

If I bought both those games, I think I'd have to play PD0 first. If I played PGR3 first I think my X360 would cry when I put in PD0 and report me for abuse.
 
Wow 16+ rating ... who remembers when the original came out and was rated 18 i dont even think it deserved that rating. Those pgr screens are pretty impressive though best graphics i have seen on the 360 and actually look next generation.

Look at that round building at the top left. Are they for real with that geometry? Awful.

The ground looks artificial but it's the only thing that's even remotely impressive about those screenshots.

So can anyone tell if these are new or not? Lighting + shadows look different to me, but my memory may be failing me..

honestly, its the first time i've seen a few of these shots... but i never saw that legendary egm in person, so maybe all of them are from that. either way, i'm willing to bet that they are all from that build

yeah, they are definitely old shots, even if some are "new" to those seeing them. still hopefull myself.

is perfect dark at GC behind closed doors, or will we have to wait for x05 now?

Dunno, canceled my flights last moment since I couldn't get a flight back without two changes (I'm spoiled, I know) and after it became apparent that not too much new is shown there. Will be in TGS and GDCE, though. From what I hear, the Xbox 360 showing is pretty limited in GC.
 
That screenshot looks BAD. But there's something to appreciate. For example the ground effect. The effect really adds depth to it.
