not really, they basically just explained why old gens existed without megas, cuz it was a different universe or whatever. but even then its vague and confusing because you literally are playing the gen 3 games in the back of the moving truck of ORAS so that sort of implies they were just video games in their universe? and team aqua/magma also implies that different versions happen in different universes too. so its all kind of up in the air, but either way its not like the timeline is split in any practical sense because theyre not gonna add new games to the old gens...although I would love for them to make smaller games with retro graphics for eshop and the like

I'd be shocked if Kiawe didn't get Litten if anything to match his color scheme. Decidueye is 100% Greninja 2.0
Dark has always being "dirty fighting and trickery" counter part to Fighting's "Honorable martial arts", so i don't see what's the deal.
Ah yeah, Kiawe and Tiger Mask does make a lot sense now that I think about it. They do have the same mannerisms.

I don't think Ash is going to have any Pokemon other than Pikachu, but if he did it would be Litten for the hotblooded evo.
I haven't really confused dark type pokemon for fighters before though.

I think "fighters" is the wrong word. Perhaps 'violent' is a more appropriate term.
People focusing too much on the fact that he's a wrestler, but he's supposed to be a HEEL, that is a bad guy wrestler, cheating and all that, that's why it makes sense he's dark and how many people predicted he'd be dark.
Think about it, if the Undertaker or Keane were pokemon they'd be Dark types.

Anyway, after all the trailers I've decided to go as the female trainer for the first time in the series. The dude just looks goofy as fuck, especially during Z-moves, but the demo was the final straw, with that goofy ass smile on his face as Hakamo-o charged towards him.

First time ever the water starter is going to be #3 for me.

Grass stays winning. What a damn great design, and Grass/Ghost to boot. I especially loved how Chesnaught was designed in Gen VI, so I'll be using another Grass starter again.
Fire is...pretty bad. The bipedal design already infuriates me as I was hoping for a badass quadripedal evolution. If nothing else, at least I like the wrestler theme and I definitely had Zangief flashbacks when I saw its Lariat attack. It's at least better looking than Trashfox from Gen VI, so yay?
Primarina is something I'm indifferent to. The final evolution looks pretty nice though compared to Popplio and Brionne. Water/Fairy could be a boon depending on what stats it has, and the movepool it gets.
