graphically is so so compared to gamecube version.
hehe probably, but i think matt will do the head 2 head so gamecube will win there by default and gamespot will never give it 9.6 so you win in the end santaSantaCruZer said:I bet that PS2 IGN will score this game higher than CUBE IGN did :lol
I'm not sure how you're getting that. 90% of the visuals seem to have ported over perfectly. It seems that all we're really losing are the perpixel effects that couldn't be achieved on PS2 hardware (such as certain water surfaces). I don't believe texture resolution has suffered even (though the quality of SOME of those textures isn't quite as high).bronzodiriace said:graphically is so so compared to gamecube version.

The more I look at the screens, the more I think the PS2 version simply runs at 24bit, like most other PS2 games.dark10x said:On the flipside, it supports anamorphic widescreen and should have better image quality. The PS2 actually does a better job with 16-bit color output than the GC, for some reason. It shouldn't be nearly as grainy...
That would be fantastic, if true. The image quality would receive a MASSIVE boost on PS2 and possibly convince me to give it a try.Marconelly said:The more I look at the screens, the more I think the PS2 version simply runs at 24bit, like most other PS2 games.

It's tough to say...Culex said:That's either the best looking use of 16-bit color I've ever seen, or it really is running in 24-bit.

I can't imagine RE4 playing with these bad joysticks too...but damn I want to play the new Ada missions...these will be only like 45 mins long though...Scrow said:i gotta admit i'm pretty cut that I'm missing out on all those extras in the PS2 version. at least the GC graphics are better, that is a small comfort though.
There's one big Ada mission that couple of hours long, isn't there?Jacobi said:I can't imagine RE4 playing with these bad joysticks too...but damn I want to play the new Ada missions...these will be only like 45 mins long though...

Anyone know what it says under "4 Resident Evil?"
edit: nevermind, it's "Premium Edition."
CosmicGroinPull said:Anyway, the way Ada's dress flowed at the end of the trailer was really impressive. I thought cloth dynamics are only possible nextgen.
Some magazines said you'd need for the GC ada mission 3 hours or something like that, I only needed 1 hour, so...Solid said:wjong.
GI: How long do you think it will take to play through that mode?
Kawata: Itll probably depend on the person, but when we tested it inside the company with different people it tended to take at least 5 hours to get through it.
