Including the removal of the bad reversal system that WW had, made the game too easy.

I thought the parry moves were a great addition to the Zelda series. We needed something like that desperately from keeping the combat stale, and that wasn't the problem that made the game too easy. It was the amount of hearts being taken away when getting hit that made the game a bit easy. You could beat bosses with only 3 hearts.

Anyway, I still think making this Zelda game cell shaded could've added some awesome animation with horse combat. Oh well.

Dare i say voice acting for all non-link characters?
i have no problem with this if its jap with eng subs. no english please, they will only ruin it. i mean they have 90% chance of screwing up the voice work with stupid north american voice actors. but knowing Miyamoto-san, there is a good chance there will be no voice work.

This thread should be stickied. So much for the non Zelda appeal :lol

threads get stickied when people make multiple threads about the same topic, not because a topic gets a lot of replies.

Miyamoto is a big influence on the software, but he, by no means, controls it all. It's more of a company-wide feeling that voice acting just isn't necessary in games.

Well, if they could put VA in SMS, I think they could fit it in somewhere in the next Zelda. Except make it 500,000 times better.

My only concern is that Nintendo'd mess it up. If it was NoA and not Silicon Knights who was in charge of ED's, there's some hope.

lol wasn't the VA SMS in the intro only? The japanese version of SMS used english voices also.

No, they used the VA for the "plot twist" and the ending.

ok. Well since Nintendo didn't bother to use japanese voices at all, it's actually a good idea to get out Zelda faster by only using english voices in both japanese and american version. The localization from japanese to english is what takes the longest time.

Although I can't really figure out why it takes so long. Do they have alot of lag on the translations? If MS can have a timely launch of Halo 2 with full VA in Japan and europe, why can't other companies have more timely global launches too?

You are aware of how much Halo 2 has been delayed arent you? If you delay a game nearly 2 years from when it was supposed to be released, the LEAST that you can expect is a on time worldwide launch.

Do we really need voice in Zelda games? It never stopped millions from buying or liking them before. Besides, once you put voices into it, if it doesnt work out, you cant take it out after its public release. Plus, everyone would be looking funny if the scenes were based upon voice-overs and not text ;)
