New Zelda info from TSA

Mihail said:
They ignore things in the final speed run, but in order to get there, they have to pay attention to more things than the average player will -- exploits, sequence breaking, collision detection, and many more.

Again - that is where you use PROFESSIONAL TESTERS. The people who are actually trained to spot these things rather than some guy who figured out a cute way to get through things quickly.

i think tetsuoxb has missed my point, and he seems to think i have missed his. i'll agree to disagree.

so, yes, back to what new features zelda tp will have...

i don't think it will have any revolution features, i think nintendo want to make a totally new zelda that completely shows off the controller.

i also think part of the new features nintendo has mentioned will be voice acting, though not for link.

i wonder what effect missing the key buying period will have on sales? i'd say if it was released nov 05 it could've sold 3+ million worldwide, but now i'm not sure. it still has potential to sell well once revolution is out, but purely on gc, it might end up only selling 2.5 million worldwide.

It's no worse than this thread deserves, really.

Where exactly do people see TSA saying this? On the forums? I don't know him at all but I'd be surprised to see him spreading this kind of bullshit.

Unlike most everyone here, I've actually worked with TSA in the past. He's been talking about this potential interview for months now, even before the delay was announced.

All I'll say is that this guy does NOT bullshit around at all. If this is what he says he saw, then that's it really. he's given me or nobody else no reason in the past to doubt his word, and I'm not going to start now.

That said, some of these comments are... peculiar to say the least. Not on TSA's part, but on Nintendo's part. I'm still quite excited for it, and wonder what type of online features they're talking about.

With as much bullshit that comes out of these forums, I don't see the complaint. :lol

True, but I figure if people aren't going to believe him, they should at least know if hes credible. I know that for sure, but hey, I too would be skeptical of the owner of a fansite getting to play TP if I didn't already know the person in question. So it all works out ^_^

TSA is the one who owns the site zhq2.com, and did the speed run on OOT. I guess he was able to go to NCL, and play TP, so just to be sure, take it with a grain of salt:

Just to break down some things:

Could the online comment mean that there will be downloadable content for Zelda REV.?

This stuff appeared 2 or 3 weeks ago on a Zelda fansite and was fake.

I'm assuming he never actually said it until someone shows me otherwise, at which time I would switch over to calling him a liar.

A Zelda MMORPG? Oh God I can imagine it now...

You spend 7 hours in the Dungeon of Utter Fucking Frustration.
Your teamleader obtained the Boss Key!
Your teamleader entered the Boss Room without you!
You have no fairies left!
Game Over.

- Restart at Dungeon Entrance.
- Restart at Home.
- Return to Title Menu.

Bah, MMORPG would be the worst direction Zelda could ever take.

I said the same thing about FPS and Metroid, and the result turned out to be one of my favourtie games of the generation, so I'm willing to look at such a game with an open mind. Also, if I could say that I don't believe a word the guy says, but Miyamoto has said that this will be the last of this style of Zelda, so anything's possible. Hell, the series could even make a genre-leap, and I'm not just talking onlineification. Fuck, I might as well just call it:

Zelda Revolution: RTS/adventure hybrid

There, it has been called.

A separate Zelda MMORPG is fine with me as long as it doesn't take away from the main games, and that we get two of those during revolutionÂ’s cycle. With World of Warcraft being so successful it wouldn't be a surprise really. I don't play online RPGs but I'd be interested to see how Nintendo does one.

Not making any claims as to his truthfulness (or lack of it), but he did say everything the original poster stated. It's all in this thread at his site:

http://www.zhq2.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4922

Check page 13 for the tidbits he released upon coming back.

TSA claims he got invited to NCL and got an exclusive interview with Aonuma. As for the "beta", he claims Nintendo provided him with an "unlocked" version of the E3 demo.

It's amazing you guys actually believe crap like this.
Correct the wrong information?
Lock the thread?

Surely something can be more constructive than looking down on us lowly mortals.

Hmm, I thought his trip was in August, maybe it got pushed back. I haven't talked to him in a long time though, but I don't think he's making it up. Who knows.
