should be the norm for next gen.

Watch it in motion

TrackIR Flight Sim
TrackIR- GTR

IR is definitely the way to go with this tech, i dont think much of that application of it though, i mean at the end of the flightsim vid he appears to check behind him, surely he would have had to turn around to do that, which would mean he can no longer see the screen....

Same with the GT vid, moving your head to move the camera just doesnt really work (without the goggles).

its a nice bit of technology, but thats far from usable. I mean, you'll be turning your head which now acts like a mouse, but still looking at the screen. So anything more than about 40 degrees off straight and you can't see anything. And the view you see is what you should see looking straight ahead.

The only way this would work would be with goggles.

Is it too farfetch to have a next gen game, say Zelda or Mario, use a built in eye toy system? Could that create some innovate titles?

From what i've heard, it actually works really well, and most people who tried it can't go back. It's a very successful product. You don't turn your head more than 40 degrees, and you have to get used to keeping your head steady when you want to look straight ahead. I can imagine it being extremely useful in flight sims at least.
