Sometimes I think Nintendo is the only company who knows how make a streaming of videogames,
Play is bad doing States and Xbox well they love to have a cheerleader on stage at e3 and when
they are not there, you already saw the results.

I've seen some bad Nintendo directs or meh so idk about that. Sony had a great run of online live demos walkthriughs when thy literally blew the house down with a live gameplay demo of uncharted 2 by the devs. They kept those live demos up for awhile and no other company came close to it. Lately under new leadership thyve taken a diff approach but I hope tht comes back.

So? That's not the same game. That looks like this;

Linking me that Steam game is like linking me Halo Combat Evolved after I've posted a trailer of Halo Infinite

I liked the look of this one too;

Kinda expecting this. The show was horrible, at least for the hyped they promove plus keeping PR the word 'gameplay'. Can't blame the anime game, because those type of games are 'art direction' focused.

Ouch and the top scores you can't even probably count bcus tht consists of Colt, Mister, Penello, Timdog, Tht blu guy and few die hard on here tht will say everything was awesome and give them an A.

Some of those games looked interesting. People need to remember that the start of any gen is always just that, a start. These are 3rd party games, that will also be coming to other systems. So technically have no choice but to make it so they can also run on the lowest available systems (Xboxone and PS4).

A few years down the line games will only get better.
I think people are more pissed about lack of gameplay than the games per se.

I find very cute people here taking my post as a console bs, because when I saw Godfall trailer I find totally shit as well, but I guess nobody remember.

Besides the AC lacking gameplay, was a fair trailer. Dirty don't look so bad either, just not 'next gen'.

I'll probably buy this on steam today, so they did get 1 new customer. Game looked fun from that small snippet

You missed the best part! If you buy that game on Steam you get the just announced sequel for FREE! :D

Just grabbed it for 8€. For that price you can´t go wrong.

You think games will suddenly look better in ~5-6 months when the consoles released?

The games are ready to show.. this is what people should expect from 3rd parties for an early generation.

And lower your expectations in general for next gen IMO. Most games won't look much better than what we see on PC now.
I wouldn't be so disappointed if they ACTUALLY showed some gameplay, not a bunch of cinematic trailers. The most used phrase in the entire show was 'in-engine/in-game representative of expected gameplay'.

It sounded like, "we're aiming for this on Series X, but it's possible we may not". That's how I felt about that.
That sound like when Ubisoft showed the game of Watch Dogs and was running with a target system much more powerfull than the final
version of Xbox one and PS4 and then well we know the history.

Those titles with the diablo meets cyberpunk were the titles more interesting for me.

The video of the games are obviously provided by the studios themselves, not created by Microsoft. The way games were brought, well that's Inside Xbox, and all Microsoft employees work from home, so not sure what you were expecting. Something as big as an E3 event, where someone is standing on stage? Wasn't going to happen.

Graphically, I'm not even sure what Microsoft can do about this. You are pretty much just shitting on all those hard working devs and their games

On graphics, I agree, its nothing they could do. But, it has to do with Xbox marketing as well. They told us its gonna be "Xbox Series X Gameplay", which has a big part to play in the reaction we are seeing right now.

You know it's funny. I'm watching them live. Colt and Grounded Gamer are even saying they could have done better.

The problem was this:

They shouldn't have hyped that way, I risk saying that this inside made them miss the Momentum they were at Next-Gen. I honestly didn't understand it all ... I liked it tho, I expected something like that so I wasn't disappointed

And I'm always confused why anyone is excited for any "show" type presentation. Other than the occasional first party game that gets a decent demo, these "3rd parties gave us some stuff" shows whether they be E3, or the new normal streaming are always the same.... "gameplay trailers" that show like 2 seconds of gameplay.

My favorite thing about E3 is that we get press demos of games and actual footage of them playing, the shows are like watching commercials...

Don't get me wrong I'd 100% have rather seen 3 minutes of actual gameplay footage from 10 games than 30 minutes of trailers an MS people acting like they just took molly, but it's exactly what I expected..

Medium's apparently an Xbox Series X exclusive, which wasn't even made clear during the stream.

iHpvOky.jpg

He is talking about the current gen hampering development on next gen, so exclusive looks or gameplay features, in the Medium trailer we see a scene where the world changes completetly around the character, something Santa monica wanted to do for traveling between worlds in God of War ( the now famous SSD power ).
This is my understanding, and i just double checked on the question he is answering to with that line.

And this I agree with 100%.

Don't tell me its the first look of gameplay and we get this. If its on those studios telling you they were getting you gameplay videos, then tough conversations need to be had. Ubisoft in particular as they hyped it up before the presentation today that it was a gameplay reveal. That shit was not gameplay.

I guess is vary between people. As much I was expecting 'gameplay' I almost sure we don't get one by the time being. For me what give me more dissapoint was one game with old gen graphics, I guess Vampire? I don't know the name, but the presentation start with some freak marionnet infront the christmas tree. That for me was terrible.

Dirty and AC was OK.

I don't know how to truly address what i have just seen from that conference.

On one hand, this is the perfect time to absolutely nail Sony as they have been so quiet on the reveals front.
The leaks from The Last of us 2 has been nothing but a total a pr disaster for Sony.

Microsoft has been on a tear of late but this is unacceptable for a company like this.

Even a half decent conference would of been a massive plus for Microsoft.
But this show, i am sorry but who put together this abomination.

As some one who was excited for today and by excited i mean 110% hype levels of excitement, ii feel like the rug has been pulled under me.

I am actually angry, upset and pissed of all in,

I am sick of seeing tweets like "tomorrow changes the game" or games do the changing.

Microsoft get your shit together for the next reveal whether that's June or July.

Stop with the mediocrity.

I think MS rushed to get in on their PR first and the games clearly were not ready to be shown.

Next...
If in the presentation of first parties Xbox doesn't has enough material for the release man I don't know how
they expect sell more console/games than the other.

I want a close fight between Sony and Xbox because is the best way to have great games and this doesn't help.

Which was disappointing because I am a massive Paradox fan and seeing them get the rights to this game I was somewhat excited.

The animations and textures were very EARLY PS4/One gen. Sad to see. Hope it was just a bad call on their part of something because that doesn't match the gameplay they've already shown. They've shown better looking stuff for V:M2 already.

I actually thought the Xmas tree scene could have had a lot of impact, hoping whatever studio that was can work on those LQ PS360 era graphics.

Right.. as was the visual difference between PC and console late in the previous gen.

This was a 3rd party showcase though. Nobody is claiming 1st party games don't see a leap; particularly Sony's.

Infamous isn't "most games." You just keep bringing up outliers; Rockstar games.. Sony games... have anything else to show?

And compare it to what a game looked like on PC near the end of the previous gen... because that's what this conversation is about.

We are running in circles mate, what kick-started this discussion is the following quote:

And lower your expectations in general for next gen IMO. Most games won't look much better than what we see on PC now.

You steered the conversation in other direction with mid-late gen/'outliers' which I don't agree with. Any big budget title exclusively being developed for a console, the differences are immediately noticeable. Even with Bethesda who haven't updated their engine since PS3/360 days, the differences can be noticed between Fallout 3 and 4.

Whatever looks best on PC right now is gonna be surpassed whenever next-gen only software starts making its way on that platform, like it always has been. We don't need to temper our expectations or work around an assertion that we are the visual limit of what can be achieved. So, let's agree to disagree.
