You do know I was one of the first to say 10TF and then devs said they was pushing 11TF. The over 11 was my estimation. I also had Mod of War Mod of War verify I talk to devs. That is on the record. Also not some independent devs either. Devs that work at major well known studios.

Sony probably delayed their show another month out of pure fear after watching that reveal! Microsoft is good hyping hardware but until they prove otherwise, they have nothing to back it up. They went an entire generation with almost nothing new!

Some people never finished the vetting process but did provide enough info to Mod of War Mod of War or others that they do have ties to people in the industry.

In other words not real "insiders" but people that do have info from time to time.

texture engines?.what are those?. texture units, not engines, have not changed since R600 decoupled them from the pixel shaders.
On the other hand he was not impressed with the SSD in XSX...wait for him to take a look at the SSD in PS5 ;)

In one post you went from a 11TF to 13TF estimation/prediction. Now you're admitting you initially said 10TF? That's a 3TF spread which is literally worse than the typical pastebin leaks that came around.

He posted here a conversation he had with a PS5 dev a few months ago and Mod of War was able to confirm that he saw that conversation.

So I asked him if this new conversation/info has been vetted or sent to Mod of War Mod of War for verification ;)

He was vetted as a content creator who has friends in the industry.

Thus, anything repeated should always carry the same healthy skepticism as you would from anyone who has heard information 2nd or 3rd hand.

Do you think it would be possible to create a thread just for keeping track of insiders? I'm always getting confused on which ones went through the vetting process of they don't have a custom tag.

Do you know something or just guessing? I'm hoping for a hardware reveal this month and a games reveal event in June, I feel like showing everything off in June will be too much after seeing Microsoft's strategy. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

This so much! See FF7Remake Cutscenes are smooth, without texture issues. Gameplay not so much.

Cutscenes can always be polished to look better/cleaner/smoother.

So yes all I want is to see a game that has been made from the start for next gen only and also with top notch graphics/physics/ai/gameplay playing live on a next gen console. ( not a DEV-KIT )

Maybe thats why Sony is waiting. For the first mass produced bunches of PS5. So they can show it off even sent some examples to magazins/news sites for further examination.

Then again what the hell do I know anyways. 😔

Thanks, so as he said he spoke to his dev 2 months ago, and now said exactly the same story after speaking to his dev yesterday...

I can move on, nothing to see here, he is just gossiping like the rest of us. My insider tolerance needs to build up again over this next generation lol.

Probably so. I'm planning to upgrade my PS4 Pro with an SSD and new Thermalpaste now. Still have FF7Remake to play, next will be TLOU2 and finally Ghost of Tsushima. And I wanna be able to enjoy those game as much as possible. So yeah gonna invest some money and effort into my PS4Pro.

So the Xbox VA consists of:
- SSD
- Hardware decompression block
- New file system API
- Sampler Feedback Streaming

So basically the only special thing is the SFS which I would like to hear more about. I have read here and there that it sounds a lot like an improved AMD feature called partially resident textures. But I honestly don't know enough about these things to make any statements on that.

It looks like the PS5 has a massive advantage in I/O on multiple levels.

The custom controller for the PS5 SSD is a major advantage. But I still want to learn more about the XVA. Although to be honest after today's inside Xbox it's possible it could be a disappointment as well.

Unfortunately, my cleaning didn't help much. It still wants to go to Mars sooner than Elon Musk. I hope it lasts till November. 512 GB SSD is less than 100 euros, just go for it, you waste money on subs as I remember ;)

Edit: The reason I'm so interested in this is because I think we all expected a follow up on this, but you saying that the conversation never happened is straight up lying, or maybe you were lying earlier. Either way it makes it hard to trust the moderation team with 'insiders' especially when so many people have had fake info that the Mod team has 'verified' even though it was blatantly false. Anyone remember Tommy Fisher's next-gen playstation controller?
