Small group of individuals that were just poking for fun, everyone knew Cerny said 100 worked in boost mode.

No, people have generally not expected Xbox to have more XBO games than PS5 had PS4 games.

If we're talking older generations then i guess sure?
Oh so just trolling?

. You’ll need to use the PS Camera (for PS4), and the PS Camera adaptor (no purchase required), to use PS VR on PS5.

Man, I always try to not engage with you, but fuck u, seriously, read the fucking DAMN thing, FUD spreader ...

And it's not new information either. A free adapter was announced back in August:

I am surprised that SSD drives connected via USB are nearly as fast as the official add on SSD from Seagate, which is said to be as fast as the internal SSD.
And it made hardly any difference between SATA SSD (500Mbyte/sec max) and Nvme SSD.

That's just the way Windows functions with code that follows an access pattern built for HDDs. Currently, there is almost zero reason to use an NVMe drive as a PC gamer, SATA works just as fast in most cases. This new generation will change that as you'll start to see games packaged in RAM ready chunks, built for direct storage, etc.

Yeah dude i initially thought it worked that way and then realized that's not what cerny meant... good job pouring through my posts though! That feels like forever ago. While you're at it i'm sure you can find some other gems of mine from same time period like everyone on here saying no way in hell Sony would make a console as big as the XsX and i said if you want it to be as powerful as XsX, it's going to have to be bigger console form factor. Sometimes i poke for fun a bit and sometimes i just think something might be a certain way and people don't want to hear it because it doesn't fit within their own narratives. The SDF on this forum is just wacko sometimes.

“Engineering brilliance doesnt require a screwdriver”...

Sony fanboys go on an unrelated sulk rampage about how to use a screwdriver.

PS5 literally cant stand on its on feet, it needs new feet screwed on... that is not “engineering brilliance” in any form.

Get over it and move on with your lives.
It’s not a big deal. It’s backwards compatible with any screwdriver I purchased prior to PS5.

Think the assumption was the ps5 camera could completely replace the ps4 camera. I will be honestly it's not the end of the world it does feel stupid that you have to have two different cameras plugged in if you want to stream and play vr games.

Yeah it was an interesting bit for sure. I think all in all while it's nice to have a large drive for storage, it's best to stay away from the mechanical drives moving forward. I believe both PS5 and Series X have 3.2 Gen 2 USB ports?

I'm going to use the Samsung T7 mainly for cold storage. Deciding whether if it will be for PS5 or Series X and buy another or something better down the road. I have a 2TB WD Passport drive for my PS4 Pro. I'm curious to see how slow it is when I copy the data over to PS5.

Ya know, I've been thinking about that and I believe they did it on purpose. It might need the stand so it's not smack on whatever you put it on to allow better airflow. We all know people who are du.. eh stubborn who put these devices in tight spaces or when a manual says it needs the stand for airflow and ignore it.
What better way to force users to use the stand by making the thing all curvy is there?

Don't know if anyone else was wondering about this, but I was. Glad they confirmed:

"If you’ve already stored PS4 games and game data in the external USB storage device connected to your PS4, you can bring them over to PS5 with that external USB storage device."

I'm pretty sure the console itself will function without the stand in both a vertical and horizontal position. However like you said it could be a way to ensure that the cooling isn't messed up in either position.

Pretty sure some people are going to show the console running without a stand.

I think they are both wrong here. there is nothing brilliant about the PS5's stand. It's just a stand.

And there is nothing wrong with having a screw holding a stand together. If you dont have a screwdriver in your house, your parents have failed you. This goes for both men and women.

The screw used for the stand is one of those big ones that you can tighten with a coin or the end of a spoon or fork.

No screwdriver even needed!

Im not usually on the whole i hate Polygon wagon, but that article was ridiculous... they try argue its brilliant design... its not.

If it was designed by Apple;
* it would snap on in both directions
* it wouldnt need a place to hide a screw
* it wouldnt need a cover to hide where the screw is hidden
* it wouldnt need a screw driver
* it wouldnt need a screw
* it wouldnt need a stand

And it would cost $/€2000!!
