All signs pointing to Starfield this Fall. Sounds like it's going to be a massive holiday season for Xbox with Halo, Starfield, FH5, and whatever else they have up their sleeves.
Just wait and see I guessWhat signs are those then? The lack of marketing? Lack of trailers? Lack of any information whatsoever about starfield in fact?
Yeah a lot of signs there.
At the moment I wouldn’t assume any of those game you listed release this year. MS need some news - if they thought any of these were going to release within the next 6 months or so, they’d be pumping it hard by now.
When did they make the announcement about Outriders hitting Gamepass day 1? Six months out or was it mere weeks? I seriously doubt we know everything MS will be doing this year. At this point all bets are off. What signs are those then? The lack of marketing? Lack of trailers? Lack of any information whatsoever about starfield in fact?

Looks like it’s software based and will need to be updated on a per title basis.I noticed that when updating Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Seriously need to fix that.
All STI had to do was just keep gradually improving on the technology in a few years time, if CBE was popular enough to be kept around that is.Since Nvidia’s DLSS is a big topic these days (especially in regard to its use in a possible Switch Pro), I was just reading a bit up on it, which led me to an Wikipedia article about AI accelerators. Interestingly, the article mentions the Cell processor as having features significantly overlapping with AI accelerators. Which leads me to my question: would the PS3‘s Cell processor theoretically have been able to do something similar to DLSS, at least to some extent? Or maybe a hypothetical Cell successor, if Sony had stuck with the architecture after the PS3?
As long as it's solid 60, I'll allow itHas this been posted/known yet? Deathloop supports RT Shadows & AO @ 4k60
From the store page https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/deathloop/
Pretending to be an insider again?Just wait and see I guess
There is no memory saving features your being fooled by Microsoft marketing they got you by the balls. The XSX because of it's larger memory pool can get away with fewer optimizations. If those features were deployed on the XSX it would only mean higher graphical fidelity and even better effects. Things fitting for a more expensive and graphically capable box. There has been no evidence that the XSX is 'stretching' its memory pool especially since the PS5 has the same size memory.
I/O is basically pushing data to OR pulling data from any part of the system as part of the Fetch/Execute cycle that all full featured processing systems go through. If you didn't know, Registers are also a type of cache, and a hyperfast one at that. If you were to list them all on a Cache hierarchy from slowest to fastest it would be from leveled caches L5(slowest) to L1(fastest) and finally Registers(fastest, most expensive) which are part of a cpu and let's just say that a cpu has more than one type of register including an Accumulator(general purpose register). All play a vital part in a cycle called the Fetch/Decode/Execute/Store cycle. It's not just about loading. Better I/O means also more variety/quantity of graphic assets and texture too. Higher RAM it's for better/ higher graphic effects but for the quantity the I/O is very important. Also I think you can save the RAM from some tasks which doesn't require a fast bandwidth I guess.
Might be. I have never experienced it. I'm digital only, no disc games. It didnt happen with Marquette, but thats a small game so who knows. I updated that while it was open, I never saw copying.Doesn’t this only happen if you are playing or have that particular game open at the time it tries to update?
Embarassing
Looking at the software of both of consoles, seems like they will finally be ready to ship at....2022....This seems like something that Sony are just lagging behind on or fucking up somehow.
I doubt Cerny was actually lying when he said this copying didn't need to be done with SSD.
Knowing Sony tho, they'll finally update the firmware and get rid of this shit in... 2023.
And? What's exactly your point?I/O is basically pushing data to OR pulling data from any part of the system as part of the Fetch/Execute cycle that all full featured processing systems go through. Just putting a little bit of info out there to help widen the base understanding regarding I/O, for those interested. It wasn't aimed at a specific person. If you thought of it that way, I apologise, that wasn't my intention. And? What's exactly your point?
What are you talking about? Sony has 45 billion in cash. They could buy 5 Bethesda if they wantedFeel free to expand. Sony’s pockets aren’t as deep as Microsoft. How exactly is that stupid? Grow up.
Ah my apologies then.Just putting a little bit of info out there to help widen the base understanding regarding I/O, for those interested. It wasn't aimed at a specific person. If you thought of it that way, I apologise, that wasn't my intention is.
Lol that’s not how this works. 7bn out of 45 is large portion of their cash. It’s not something they would easily agree to. Think before you talk! What are you talking about? Sony has 45 billion in cash. They could buy 5 Bethesda if they wanted
They obviously can't compete with Microsoft in terms of buying power
Doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't try to aquire any other big pub. They could even afford TakeTwo if they wanted. Obviously I don't think it would happen but they are capable
Yep, they can, but they don't seem inclined to do it. I just hope when they see it is a necessity to secure some, there are still some good publishers available to acquire lol

Where are you getting that it's a PS4 version? But he is updating a PS4 game (look at the version), so isn't it "normal" that the copying is still an issue?
I doubt that Cerny was speaking about PS4 games when saying that, otherwise using an SSD in a PS4 would have also solved the problem...

Ya there's a different team at Remedy making the 2 games for Epic.
Not the same team who made Control tho. That team is working on something else.
Remedy has said they have 4 teams working on 5 games.
Team 1 - the team who made Control - working on unannounced AAA game in "RCU" (written by Sam Lake)
Team 2 - working on 2 games for Epic - one AAA game and one smaller game, for consoles & PC
Team 3 - working on Vanguard, a multiplayer live service game, free to play (pub unknown)
Team 4 - working on Crossfire X singleplayer for Smilegate, Xbox
Coping still needs to be done with BC games because they are packed like that. This seems like something that Sony are just lagging behind on or fucking up somehow.

Look at the version of the game. PS5 games have versions in a format like x.xxx.xxxWhere are you getting that it's a PS4 version?
