But at one point they will have to show their cards, traditionally this has been at E3, so with Sony not being at E3 I expect a reveal to happen shortly after E3.

CFE is overpriced because it can be as a professional product. Assuming MS uses a controller on the MB and not the expansion cards, the pricing wouldn't be that bad. As long as the cards are proprietary, MS may be able to license CFE technology without the big price tag (since these cards wouldn't cannibalize CFE's primary market).

Every insider leak says that the two are basically a match and so close together that it won't result in a noticeable difference. I think that around 2gb/s are fast enough because the memoryextention don't have to share bandwith.
The internal storage of the XsX has to be faster, for the needs of RAM, recording, writing, etc.

I don't take that post as meaning it will be a $399 console, even the way Mark Cerny talked about it to Wired it sounds like it will be more than $400, now how much more is the question...probably going to be $450-500, I think anything over $500 is suicide, which my guess by their comment they meant not another $600 launch console.

I don't know, some Xbox guys think Sony is bad at engineering consoles, because a mid-gen refresh that came out one year later and costs 100 dollars more, is more powerful. Only reason I think Xbox could be more powerful is that their console has that tower like form factor. If Sony goes the way of a traditional console form factor there is only so much they can put into it. But Sony didn't show anything yet so for me they are close to Series X until proven otherwise. Sony brought out 4 consoles and never cheaped out compared to the competition

I put my money on double digit. There is some psychological factor to this. Like when you buy a product that is 499 instead of 500. It makes you feel better. It is ingrained into us. 9 imo would sound shit compared to 10-12 although 9 is still powerful. I hope I can get my point across

These discussions are supposed to be at least somewhat respectful even if you disagree.
This is true but they've also never outright steamrolled competitors in all aspects for any gen other than PS4/XBO, which we already know was more due to MS shooting themselves in both feet and the chest.
PS1: N64 had more geometry/polygon throughput, an actual Z-buffer, faster CPU and better texturing (via RAM Expansion cart). Saturn had more raw CPU power, better 2D hardware and more RAM (both internally and with optional RAM expansion cartridge).
PS2: Gamecube had better lighting, polygon geometry output, faster CPU, more powerful GPU. Xbox had more powerful CPU and GPU, and GPU-orientated features the other systems lacked (such as bump-mapping through hardware). Dreamcast had more VRAM, deferred rendering and resolution support.
PS3: 360 had better RAM solution (unified memory), and better GPU.
..and keep in mind in each of those instances there was at least one other system that launched alongside or even before Sony's, so not all of these differences are due to competitor platforms having came out later.
