A cinematic trailer running on 24fps?

Ok...
I not positive but I believe it is pushing more pixels then the tech demo even at that frame rate.
Edit: if I did the math right the UE5 demo renders 110 million pixels a second. The hellblade 2 demo is 148 million per second. So ya the hellblade demo pushes more pixels.

Well, they are wireless but I CAN plug them in via a headphone jack and wire. So should I do it that way to be safe? Just want to make sure I can hear whatever there is to hear.

The closest thing to wired experience right now is LDAC (990kbps), but wired is always the best. Wireless is just convenient, but youtube won't give you beyond 320kbps if not wrong, so you can use it wireless.

Now you're more confused. Mission accomplished. :messenger_clapping:

I'm intrigued by those open back references. Would love it but sometimes even the closed back leak sound to disturb the ones sleeping behind me when you go gunz-blazing with full volume. :messenger_winking_tongue:

Well, that's the caveat. What goes in, must come out.... or something :messenger_grinning_squinting: In other words, a noisy environment will disturb you... and you a calm, quiet one :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

Ok, thanks. I think I've got it. I'll hook it up via the headphone jack and go "wired" for the presentation then.

it was really in engine but not running real-time on XSX .. it was likely running on high end PC and it has some tricks and flaws there and there .. DF point that out here :

There is no source for or against real-time that I know of.
Edit: I also assume it ran on a pc that they thought was equivalent in power to the devkit which was definitely out within the next month.
Edit2: rusco if you know of a definitive source that states it was not real time post it.

Anybody have good recommendations for a light headset? I find I get fatigued in long play sessions with some headsets

I actually really like Bose's quietcomforts. Not cheap - but really light and comfortable - AND very good noise cancellation. A delight on flights (if there ever are flights anymore...)

It still is a cinematic trailer running on 24fps, not even running on a XSX devkit, not interactive at all. My point stands.

I use the wired Astro A40 with the mixer with endless hours non stop. When I first bought it it was slightly tight but got better later on.

The bass is mediocre, A50 is said to have better bass in comparison. If you sweat then those well be great as well for using fabric instead of leather. I personally prefer leather for better isolation.

I'm waiting for Sony's WH-1000XM4 if PS5 is going to support LDAC, or will just buy the new PS headset for PS5 when it's out and use the current once for now through DualSense as PS5 might as well ditch Toslink (Optical Cable) like XSX did.

That Hellblade 2 cinematic was not real time, does anyone honestly believe that after it took them YEARS to make the first game that let's be honest was very small in scale all of the sudden turned around and had a playable version of the sequel already running at that level of fidelity on incomplete hardware? Sorry that's nuts, it was an "in engine" cinematic, all companies use them from time to time, they are BULLSHIT and they do nothing but build unrealistic expectations.

Remember the first Forza "in engine" footage for the Xbox One? the one with real 3D crowds, a lot more detail in the roads and buildings etc then the real game came out and looked nowhere near as good. Sony did the same with their "in engine" Nathan Drake reveal, the in game model looked great but didn't hold up next to that. These companies do nothing but shoot themselves in the foot with these types of trailers, yes they are made to generate hype but more and more people have caught on that the term "in engine" is basically meaningless, don't trust anything until you see actual gameplay.

Things are much more complicated than that, as the UE5 gameplay demo pushes more than 800 million polygons per second (+40fps as stated, 20 million polygons per frame).

But let's give it a rest, Hellblade 2 is just a trailer, a very nice one in that regard. Doable? I guess so but not much details about it compared to the UE5 gameplay demo.

EDIT: Aiming for more than 1 billion polygons per second when UE5 gets released (solid 60fps, meaning around 70fps).

I get the joke but there is some truth to what you say. Even badly written code can be a real test on how well the consoles can handle it in its stride. Or if wasn't a joke and this is exactly what you intended :messenger_winking:
It wasn't a joke. Bad code can stress the hardware (a lot) more than good code.

Snakes have legs
Dude, are you really trying to imply both are equal? It doesn't matter if Hellblade 2 trailer was in-engine, it shares the same problems as all of those Inside Xbox trailers: lack of any gameplay/interactivity demonstration and not even running on a devkit, most probably a high-end PC. Blame it on MS for not making a proper showing.

Bro he's agreeing with you. :lollipop_tears_of_joy:

Some nice headsets.. I have a set of bose but my daughter kind of confiscated them.

Honestly Ill use my Tozo T6 wireless set. They are very good when you get the fit right. I work out, cut the grass, and do a lot with them and they dont fall out. Cant wait for the show.

T -16 hours to go.

give me a game with characters like these two .. and take my 💰

we really lost stealth games and not only that but lost great characters with interesting backgrounds... nowadays nothing has filled the emptiness

I haven't been able to articulate how I feel about what I want out of a new IP but, this is it.

dude .. please read my first post again CAREFULLY !

I didn't share any thoughts that implement the opposite! I didn't say both are equal .. I didn't say it was gameplay or lack of anything .. I did say nothing that make you like this triggered over a silly subject

so calm down for the second time and carefully understand before posting

Ok, man, sorry for my misunderstanding, anxiety must be kicking in hard.

You know I tried to pick up HZD recently after buying it at launch - HZD2 might be a launch game after all.

But I just don't enjoy it. That USGamer review that was linked earlier sums up my thoughts on it. The story just doesn't grab me, I don't feel connection to the characters or their plight and I don't really like the enemy design - I find the whole tech mismatch post apocalyptic setting a bit labored.

That, coupled with the graphics - I didn't love them that much. I can see they're technically impressive but it felt like an open world where there wasn't much "space". For me RDR2 was a good open world - I like the idea of a wilderness and the "role playing" that comes from happening upon strange events, friends and enemies, wildlife and so on..

I just didn't get that from HZD - there were the robots, boars, foxes and the occasional brave who didn't have much to say.

Maybe I didn't get far enough into it - but I do remember one point where I decided to put it down again recently. I think I was going into mothers crown - I'd taken a strider and sprinted to the place and on the way a couple of robo-wolves got agro'd and chased me. They chased me right to the bridge entrance to Mother's Crown where there's a sentry post.

I go off my "horse" and prepared to be attacked - but the wolves didn't cross the bridge (fair enough) but the sentry, right there above them did absolutely nothing too. I thought the sentry would at least fire a few arrows or pretend to comprehend the world.

To me that kind of things just breaks what role playing and immersion I could feel for it - in that moment it's obviously a game to play, not a world to discover. I saved and switched off and I don't have much interest to return...

I'm not that interested about HZD2 unless it's a much better experience. As it stands if that's the PS5's only notable launch game I probably wouldn't pick one up at launch.

Brother, as a psychiatrist I'm worried about your mental health. I'm sending you a script for two extended release adderall and recommended you replay HZD. If you still don't like it we need to consider in-patient care.

HZD2 will likely fix your complaints of the original...

FYI, I had a post deleted for use of 'Xbros'. Meant no offence to our gaming brethren.

Despite the post being deliberate light ribbing, I considered it a term of endearment. Had no idea, wont use again.

man I know lots of people hate remakes/remasters but i really want red dead redemption that looks like redemption 2 and has some new story elements including talk about Arthur Morgan, and a remake of deadspace 1-3 with ray tracing.

One was a real game the other isn't a game.
1. Is it really that painful for you that anytime someone brings up anything positive about Xbox you have to undercut it.
2. While it is cinematic it is running on the game engine. It is pushing a heck of a lot more pixels even while running on UE4. What will it look like on UE5?

I don't remember a damn thing about marketing for any consoles that far back. Hell i don't think i remember any marketing for any at least off the top of my head.

In case you may remember with this.
