It's insane that the SSD aka one of the most important part of the puzzle and the main next gen game changer is a microscopic part of this whole picture
 


We've reached the point now where this is literally all they've got left.

They hate the fact that Sony doesn't pander to them. Absolutely hate it - and it comes out with every tweet.

We will have plenty of choices because it can fit 4 different sizes. And plenty of manufactures would love to sell their SSDs to millions of PS5 owners.

Sony is using stock internal PC SSDs for adding storage, so thats great for us. Manufactures will not need to make custom drives for Sony. They can make their PC drives but now sell them to even more buyers.

WB games are straight up garbage. There should of been a Batman Beyond game by now. Still trying to do classic batman arkham shit that peaked.

And there should of been a Static Game by now. What do they do over there?? Watch Dr Strange pop out a portal in the next spiderman game.

Gotta just ignore the muppet. He wrote an article years ago comparing God of War to Super Mario Odyssey based on whihc game has more detailed nipples (seriously). His entire write up on GT7 was "tires look round." Hes a troll. He's not worth thinking about.

We all make jokes about the XSX all the time. Is PS5 suddenly off the table for some people because its their favorite plastic box?

Jesus, calm down. It's not a persecution to make jokes. Maybe its just funny to them. And the PS5 is officially the biggest console ever. That's okay. Tech looks amazing.

What is this idiot even talking about? What's his point besides being totally wrong about things like ray tracing (the only RT we've even SEEN so far other than the minecraft demo on XSX has been from the PS5 so it is demonstrably FALSE that it doesn't support RT). I just don't get the point...unless it's just an idiot posting-gasm from the guy.

Good news is you don't need to touch the SSD inside the PS5, even the extra one you can install inside. Your fingers shall be safe. Hope they're both quiet.

Now we gotta hope the PS5 UI is coming soon.

I hate to break it to you, but if you try to swap that NVMe anytime soon after use, you are going to burn those fingers. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

NVMe puts the Hot in hot-swappable without question.

No one is gonna burn their fingers on these ssds. I guess some idiot could try to touch an expansion on the PS5 when it's on, though, so I take that back.

Even if it is easy to put XSX in horizontal position, but surely XSX isn't designed for horizontal like PS5. It's a tower design and as such it's for vertical position and also stand is unremovable

The old eyeball-o-meter says they're very close in size. The PS5 SOC is a bit longer, but a little bit narrower. Size advantage might go to the PS5, but that's just the carrier. Can't see the substrate (die) in any of these shots. It's under the carrier.

If anything it highlights that they didn't really do any design for horizontal orientation. The stand is only of use when vertical and fixed to the bottom, and it makes it look like the machine has fallen over rather than is meant to lie horizontally.

Ah, so you were able to get the PS5 as well. Nice one. We're in the same boat then!

Walmart US actually confirmed I'll get the Series X on the 12th. Not on launch day but no complaints at all. Open these bitches at the same time.
