Ok then it makes sense why some are saying the XSX feels hot to the touch. It's mainly because the case comes into direct contact with the parts. With the PS5 there's a separation between the two so the outside shouldn't heat up as much.

Exactly. If both consoles produced the same amount of heat from use over 3-4 hours, then users shut them down and pick them up, chances are the Xbox will feel hotter to the hand because its a smaller, more compact box. Not an issue of course, just might change how users perceive the consoles. PS5 seems like overkill, super big, but it could be nice for the users if its cool & quiet.

I mean, just look at this. One looks like shit, the other looks awesome.

The first time I saw the XSX I was really impressed with how everything is together and how well designed it looked, after the PS5 presentation, my perception has changed A LOT, I want the XSX to have more room to breath now, but hopefully, both machines can run without any heat issues, we already know they are really quiet.

Here for my daily replies of users unable to cope.

Damn I thought games mattered but its how long it takes to move the box. Is this all we got left? "The 30 second instructional demonstration took too long."

At least making fun of the box's size makes sense, cuz it might not fit in some furniture lol. But this is just pointless.

What is the issue?
I think they are trying to get revenge on this video by lending games.

However, the difference is that this video serves to change the console's position, and the video back in 2013 tried to defend a gamers right.

But if we are dealing with the same thing ...........:messenger_grinning_sweat::messenger_grinning_sweat:

That they resorted to that has made me feel ashamed, that they resorted to that.

As is almost everything now. People are running out of things to bicker about, while we wait for these launches, so now every perceived flaw or advantage is being magnified to the hundredth degree.

It's beyond tiring now.

Dave Lee approves.

I completely agree. The PS5 design is so Japanese, so detailed. Seems like it will be a very cool and quiet system, thankfully.

Just goes to show what Sony's engineers/designers can do when they're given the freedom to make a big box and have an extra ~ $100 budget to work with (versus what they had for PS4.)

Yeah, I don't understand why they try to portray this as something that requires a big brain. Even XboxUK deleted their tweet now. Some might think those kind of poke at Sony might be funny, but that is exactly the kind of shit that rails up console wars.

Some are saying the SSD is tricky to replace but after watching the video it's extremely easy to do. Just slide off the cover and take out a screw.

I wonder how critical the removal side panels' conductivity properties will be for the cooling. I'm hoping they can be switched out for reflective stainless steal or even colourless hollow plastic that can be filled with liquid metal to provide a terminator lava lamp look that also provides insight into the console's thermals by the motion of the liquid metal as heat passes through.

Did you even read this?

He's referring to why first party Xbox games prices don't matter too much in the end due to them being on GamePass from day 1 until the death of GamePass.
Lol, my bad. I was just reading it. The title is really misleading tbh, I guess I fell for it.

Sony job ad declares PS5 as the "world's fastest console"

How sweet it is.

So fellas, mbg said liquid metal has life of 4 years before it wears out- is this true?
Liquid metal has a very long life if you choose the right alloy with the heatsink. They must be compatible so that they do not corrode each other.

Sony has already thought that for you, you just have to pay for the console. But if you want you can read their liquid metal patent where they talk about a new alloy with some details.

The useful life of correctly chosen liquid metal is much longer than that of thermal paste in all cases.

People Delid their PC processors and keep their metal liquid for many years. Much more than the useful life of a console.

In the tear down video at 3:18 you can see the screw holes for 110 and 80 with the hold down screw in the 110 hole.

Ps5 will suppose ssd lengths at 110.

circled where it clearly says 80 and 110....

your own pictures show the half hole at the end for 110.

in the picture i provided you it even shows the hold down screw for space 110

Was just going to say, I noticed that here:

Yeah looks like the screw and a bolt are there. I'd assume the bolt helps keep some space between the plastic and the drive on the bottom, and you move the bolt to whatever hole you need to use.

The internal expansion will be used by PS5 software so will need to be top spec no doubt
