That still has the weird hum/whirr a few of us have mentioend before.
It's impossible to explain but it almost sounds like a droning being used as the "bass" of the recording, making it sound really odd.
Sure, at the low end, it sounds somewhat similar, but at the high end, it sounds horrible. You can say the same thing for Forza Motorsport's 787B. At idle and low end, it sounds just like the real thing, but at the the higher end, it sounds nothing like the real thing.
From what I notice, maybe it is the equipment that they used (maybe it was restricted ?), so they went in and did post edits after they had the engine sounds in game to try to make it sound better?
There is something wrong with the cars' sound design in this game, and there is no denying it.
If you don't see anything wrong with the sound design of the cars, listen to this. The only thing they got right was the muffling of the interior, which in my mind, would seem like the easiest thing to catch.
