Curious to see how it plays out.

Amram has yet to address the criticisms of her posts directly but in a recent post expressing her support to the Black community, she subtly hinted her past ignorance on the issue.

“My own journey of anti-racism has been one filled with shame and embarrassment and epiphanies of past complacency or active pain caused that no amount of enlightenment can atone for,” she wrote.

“I don’t mean to preach because who am I to tell anyone anything, I am admittedly stupid and ignorant, but speaking for myself, I decided years ago — not early enough, it can never be early enough — to try to examine white supremacy in every facet of my life, to recognize it, to dismantle it in whatever little way I can, and I reaffirm my dedication to that work today.”

I’ve said this before but I’m kinda surprised anyone in any sort of public position doesn’t wipe their social media footprint and start over. Something you wrote 9 years ago will be used against you if it can.

I honestly don't get what she's trying to do with the tweets.

I just wanted to say that The Good Place is a sneaky satire of SJW culture. If there's any religion that lines up with the logic of the afterlife in that show, its SJW/Progressivism. Nobody gets into heaven. Any flaw is held against you for the rest of your life. Your afterlife is based on an accumulation of points. Hell is based around the idea that torture is being around your fellow kind. There's a museum in hell given to various slights. All your friends in "the good place" are actually demons pretending to be good just to fool you into your own demise. The hero is a white girl who fucks a black dude. The charitable character is driven by narcissism. It's all SJW afterlife.

Hard to defend that, but it comes off more as a troll post to me with that pic because that first tweet makes no damn sense

How is 'offensive' still accepted as a valid argument.

If something I say offends you, well fuck you.
"If someone tells me that I've hurt their feelings, I say, 'I'm still waiting to hear what your point is.'
In this country, I've been told, 'That's offensive' as if those two words constitute an argument or a comment. Not to me they don't.
And I'm not running for anything, so I don't have to pretend to like people when I don't"

Is it racist to say if I eat Asian food (Oriental or Indian), I'll usually hit the toilet about 90 minutes later? Must be that MSG. lol

So is there any context to those tweets?.

I usually find it eye rolling when they go after people for jokes or stuff like that .... But at least on a first glance these do actually look like random racist/hateful comments

Another reminder that 10 years isn't enough time to recover from a joke tweet, but 13 years is enough time to recover from being an armed home invader.
Because losing your job (at most what will happen to her) and getting snuffed out by a cop totally relate well.

Very silly tweets. That is why I do not use Twitter and instead just post all my political opinions and fun jokes on facebook.

The point is that he gets the "He was turning his life around!" treatment while someone with 10 year old tweets gets the "BURN THE WITCH AT THE STAKE!" treatment. And it makes no fucking sense.

If armed home invasion can be forgiven, why not 10 year old joke tweets?

plus these "recovering" and "turning life around" types, never actually are recovering, Driving on goofballs is not recovering, dumping your drug stash during an arrest is not recovering,

I just made an account yesterday, to spam the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights at people who probably haven’t read it, to which I get the lovely replies “well, maybe you should read the terms of service”

Those are funny tweets, but I think I'd be fine with her getting canceled.

Hitched your wagon to the wrong horse, Megan.

Does that twitter account literally just exist to dig up old shit to cancel..?

What a pathetic low life the person running it must be.

Isn't it more like losing your job, or being provided a golden coffin and everybody kneeling for you after your death what is to compare here?

A lot of people sure did fuck up in those early years by thinking Twitter was a fun goofy platform to share memes and try out comedy bits.
