Ok GAF, I always rooted any android device I had. Now I don't know if to do it or not... I mean rooting give you freedom to install mods and better tuned ROMs but on the other side I wouldn't like to meet any problem related to Google services and being unlocked, plus I hate when there is a system update but you need to wait some "cook" to work on the rom (since you cannot update)...
What to do?
So i finally got to order a Nexus 5 to my sisters adress (American Forces here in Germany) but the order got cancelled because they can't send it here??
There was American Forces (AE) under the options. I don't get it.
Looks like i won't get one for cheap :/
Hey, don't thank me. Thank the Power Toggles developer. The man does not charge a dime for one of the best utility apps Android has had for years. Go give the guy a good rating.
That awkward moment when I posted it 2 pages ago....
Anywho, doesn't 4.2+ have toggles when you swipe down with two fingers?
What's the best guide for rooting a Nexus 5?
Anybody else have an issue with the lock button being extremely sensitive? I pull it out of my pocket and find the screen on because of it.
Maybe the bumper case would help? Or just make it worse...?
Google play services is a super battery drainer!!!
Woooow. I've returned to the original settings and the battery improvement has been HUGE.
What do you mean with "original settings"?
Reboot the phone. I don't remember how is called, but it's an option to delete everything an return to the fabric settings.
After that I had been playing with the sync options and this things, the "google play services" was the second in the battery list, with more than 20% of usage.
Now, that I don't use none of this google sync & location, there are times that the "google play services" are not in the list, with only 2-3% of battery usage
Ah ok you reset the phone and then stopped all sync and location services. Yes, you save in battery but well is like limit the use of the phone and his concept of use.
Anyone having weird mobile data stats? I watched about 1/2 hour of netflix on LTE. The graph shows a spike but the netflix app is only showing 1.60mb.
And it's also time to get a case or bumper of some sort, though I love the feeling of this thing naked.
Does doing CF-auto root break being able to get OTA updates?
I think I know the answer but does rooting void manufacturer's warranty?
Clearly, you can't have nice things.
The impressions of the official cases (both the bumper and the quick cover) on XDA are pretty scathing, so it looks like I better go with a third-party case instead of waiting for the first-party cases to finally come back in stock.
Did anyone here go for that Spigen neo-hybrid case?

oh wow, those are kinda low compared to the G2...
For those that have the white version, any staining? Or heard of some?
Still looks as good as the day I got it so far.
Hmmm....wondering if I should just cancel my n5 order and just bite the bullet, root my One and install CM11
