Are there any keyboards that go with 7 inch tablets? I'm planning on using it for notetaking and I'd prefer a bluetooth dealie to a touch-screen. It doesn't appear like there are any keyboards made specifically for the Nexus 7.

After using the OG for a year, the new power button is waaaay too shallow and stiff. That's all I can complain about so far, everything else is a real improvement.

So those Nokia charging pads work really well? I wish this thing made a sound when you start charging btw...

Just picked up one of these at Walmart today. As an iOS person with zero Android experience, I'm pretty lost so far. I just discovered what Widgets are, so that's something I guess.

It does make a sound when wireless charging begins.

I don't believe a vibration motor is present in tablets.

Was going to try to see if I could get 4.3 on my Galaxy Nexus since I heard that it was available only to find that OF COURSE, it's only for the GSM version -_-

Wow, so only for wireless I guess. That's nice though. I just wonder if Asus is making an official wireless pad.

My device won't boot past the nexus (x) logo. It just stays there. I got a dud. Any fix or am I fucked. Will Best Buy take it back?

I'll be getting one soon. I had bought my little sister the 1st gen N7 and I liked it a lot i was considering getting one for myself.
It will primarily be using it to read books, watch videos, and social networking. I love it more so than my ipod touch lol. I'll give the ipod to my other sister.

Going to get the 32gb version :D

Going to BB tomorrow. I hope they take it back without any drama, says I have 15 days. I only had it for three days. Kinda disappointed.

The screen is the same size as the OG nexus right?

I had a play with my mates tablet, and I don't like the 16:10 aspect ratio at all. Especially in portrait mode; webpages seem so tiny. It feels like I'm browsing on my phone.

I'm gonna cancel my order and wait for the ipad mini hd.

Yeah, definitely something off about the tap detection on mine, after a lot of typing it goes nuts sometimes, after a year of the first N7 never had that happen.

After nearly 2 days with it I really do love it. Only negative so far for me is the battery life. I was spoiled by the Surface which seems to have god levels of battery.

The speed is fantastic and I love the screen so for now I am happy overall with that one complaint. Now if I could get a case that I want. The one I ordered from Amazon is due the end of August.

My only issue with the device so far is that the OS is just not as responsive as iOS and that's an Android issue. I wonder when Google will catch up in that area.

any cases with a magic cover style stand thing yet?

The more I use this, the more I realize that i kinda appreciate my ipad mini's aspect ratio more.

The screen is gorgeous, but portrait or landscape isn't great for reading shit. Think i might just give this to my dad after the 'new toy feel' wears off.

Being able to select default application for opening files is great though.

Is there anyway to sort your application list?

Comics, books, Netflix etc, music, youtube, internet, porn, games and social networking.

Quick browsing on places like GAF, playing brilliant games like Kingdom Rush, hooking up tablet to my HDTV and playing n64 with a bluetooth controller (which is convenient because my n64 is packed up) steaming TV shows/movies from my laptop while I'm in bed, Netflix, HBO Go, checking e-mails, facebook messenger, using it as a dedicated juke box (using my phone to play songs from Google Music, which plays from the tablet, and I may start e reading soon.

It was the stock model. I turned it off to save some battery, then when I turned it back on it just stayed on the nexus logo.

Alright so I'm thinking I'm gonna get this tablet, and I have a $50 Amazon coupon, but the only problem is I don't have 3-4 weeks to wait to get the 32 GB version :|||||||||||||||

EDIT: I think I'll just stop by BestBuy and pick one up today and use the coupon towards GTAV

Sounds like my plan as well.

With Tmobile's data plans, I'm actually considering getting the LTE version, instead of killing my battery with the hotspot.

I have no idea why this would happen. If you can get a new one, I would. Doesn't hurt to start clean. Who knows what could happen next.

This thing really isn't designed to be used in portrait mode eh?

barely any bezzle, yet no edge detection thing like ipad mini, while there is massive bezzle at top and bottom.

I'm wondering if anyone who bought 16GB model is having issues regarding storage space? I'm trying to decide which model I should get once they're available in the UK. I've been looking on the play store and the games, apps, books etc all seem very small in size and I can't imagine ever needing more than 16GB but I'd hate to run out of storage space 6 months down the line for the sake of £40.

I have the 16GB version of the 2012 Nexus 7, and running up against the storage limit is the main reason I'm upgrading. If you keep media on your device, like comics or games apps (which often have a second, much larger download than the store suggests), or especially HD video, you'll hit that 16GB cap a lot faster than you think. If you have good file transfer discipline and make sure your device is only ever loaded up with what you need right now, it's not a problem, but me, I'm lazy.

On another note, for anyone who's got the new Nexus already, what exactly do I need to buy to get HDMI video out? I understand there's some sort of dongle to the (mini?) USB connector on the device I need to get, can someone provide an example?

Okay so I'm planning on taking this thing on a week vacation across the planet, my issue being I don't have a case

Anyone have any suggestions for what to keep it in to protect it when not in use? Because I'm not sure if any stores are carrying any cases for the new version yet

memory will always be an issue if you wanna do 1080p videos on these beauty screens. :/

even the best compression settings a movie length video is like 7+gb minimum.

If you root the device you can also use OTG afaik.
