Just got home, why is Favre on my television NFL Network?

And as I say this they show him throwing an INT, lol.

Well I agree with you that it would have been an awful decision, but I don't give the brass there the benefit of the doubt. It looks like Fox decided to stick with Tebow before practices started, but earlier in the week it was considered.

I trust Silver on this. As I said, he is plugged in there. Certain media guys are reliable when they cover certain teams/players. Silver is also buddy buddy with Jeff Fisher, and is the only one who has called it as that has gone down correctly

As a contingency I'm sure that it was tossed around. The only problem is you had Elway out there on Tuesday of last week with the "Pull the trigger" statement. That tells me that Tebow was the starter and was going to play until it was either a blowout, Tebow shits the bed, or injury. I'm sure it was tossed around, and I don't doubt Silver's cred, but I don't think it was ever a real possibility outside of the obvious scenarios.

i know people say this every now and again and its usually as a joke but i had a conversation a couple years back when a buddy said "oh i bet (whoever the national champion was) could beat the lions (0-16)" and i told him he was a fucking idiot.

you're talking about grown professional football players. physically they would obliterate a college team. yeah maybe the best players on the college team could compete but not everyone on a college team is NFL ready. but beyond that, the NFL players would be so mentally in the game (afraid to lose to a college school) that it would just be a blowout. the best college team would be blown out by the worst NFL team

Quote from Terrell Suggs today:

"A true Ravens fan would never, ever, ever root for a Steelers victory. This is a war. It's deep and it's real, and yup, they're done, so we won"

Love the kickin em when they're down.

It was fucking ridiculous here in Michigan. I probably called over 300 people twats and stooges for making that same argument. I was told a local division 2 school (Grand Valley State) would beat the Lions that year.

I fucking hate stupid people

The two best teams in the country. Cannot combine to score a single touchdown. In two games. I don't care if these are practically pro-level defenses, how do the two best teams have offenses that can manage to be this ineffective? It's just mind-boggling.

When was the last shutout in a title game? Quick search shows me it hasn't happened under the current system.

Edit: Now LSU going to get a FG and the only interesting thing remaining will be lost/

Well, I do think an offense of Tim Tebow, Aaron Hernandez, Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy, David Nelson, Jeff Demps, Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, Marcus Gilbert, Cornelius Ingram, and Riley Cooper would put up a good fight agains the worst NFL team. The disparity would come at the defensive side. No college team in the nation could put together an 11-man group that could handle an NFL offense, even a terribad one. Although I'm awfully impressed by Alabama's recent defenses.

That was the worst option I have seen run at a major college program. This guy is fucking TRASH.

How do the #1 and #2 teams in the country not have a single NFL-ready skill player?

So...is LSU's offensive line just utter crap, or what? It seems like Jefferson hasn't had any semblance of a pocket all night. Disgraceful offense.

god this game fucking sucks. i hope somehow LSU is still voted as the #1 team so the NCAA can again be exposed for having the worst fucking system for determining a "champion" in the history of sports

Fuck you Nick Saban. I'm glad you left Michigan State!
not really

I'm sorry Goldy, but there's no way it would have worked out between you two kids in the end.
He couldn't cheat as much as he wanted to in the B1G without going to Ohio State.
Perfectly understandable.
