I'll be picking the Rats and Pats* in the pickems, but my heart tells me Tebows/Texans championship game!

And it'll be Packers/Saints fighting for the right to slaughter the AFC.

lol i never ever seen your name before, but you're probably.. maybe right. I dunno, I've gotten better since those days. I think .

Why would anyone hire Wade Phillips as a head coach again.

I don't understand why the NFL has so many retread hires for failed coaches.

How have I been cocky? I am glad my team won. Get the fuck over yourself, not my fault you live in Jets/Giants territory while being a Packer fan.

Meh, I don't remember any Giants fans being cocky.

Only remember outsiders that are on the outs talking smack. It's going to be a good game - I really hope Rodgers and Jennings are ready to go, but if we drop this game it will be because Giants have great momentum just like we did last year, and the Giants themselves in 07.

That thought is the scariest part to me, we have the talent to overcome, but I don't feel great about.

No.Brady did.I seent it.

McCarthy and that GODDAMN "special" teams unit did Flynn in. Ugh. We would've been undefeated this season if Flynn had won that game and led us to prominence last year. Rodgers would be rotting away in some cesspool like Oakland and Flynn's ass would be crowned already. Playoffs canceled, Lombardi Trophy already en route to Lambeau, the whole nine.

The 5.0 yards per carry was contradicting your third down back assertion. I never said anything about him besides implying that you're just wrong for saying that.

You can't be serious? You're saying one season contradicts his whole career. If anything this season is an anomaly. Larry Hughes had one big season in the NBA. Does that mean he wasn't a bust and a sixth man at best?

You're arguing a point that's separate from what Dragon is saying. Bush's career isn't what's on the table, just the fact that he had a good season this year. That's all he's saying. Decaf it, dude.

On the game itself, someone said it earlier, I think the Falcons just lack identity. They're just decent in all facets but not really good in any one category. They kept trying to force feed the run in the first quarter but Turner couldn't get any traction. This is the first time I'm getting a really good look at Matt Ryan (already watching the game for a second time) and the guy was skittish as fuck without any pressure even being there. How does he put up any kind of numbers? He's constantly running for his life and dumping it off with no one in his face. Very lucky that in recent history the NFC South has housed some terrible defenses. I thought it all game and now that I watch the game at home again I'm sure of it, I don't think that the Giants D played all that well, moreso that the Falcons O failed to execute in damn near every facet.

See my post above.

Yeah, I was typing as your post went up.

GG mang, I think you guys would be real good with some big time hogs on the interior OL and just punching people in the mouth. . Your DL was really good until they just couldn't hold up anymore.

I'm saying Bush is a bust and dude keeps talking about his 5 yards a carry average this season. Which is an anomaly. One decent season doesn't mean Bust is good. That's my counter to is 5 yac argument.

Damn, I caught the highlights of the Broncos game. Mile high city living up to their name? Everyone from Denver must be so excited.

Post game handshake in Denver last month Tom Brady told Tim: "we'll see you again". The Prophet meets the Messiah Saturday

Thanks and GG to yall and good luck going forward. The Giants are one of the few teams left I wouldn't mind winning it all. Hopefully this domination your team laid out on us gives the team a positive wake up call.

Pre-snap, free safety Ryan Mundy came down in the "Robber" look, obviously to read whether the Broncos were going to run. The playfake to running back Lance Ball was a great call here (especially out of shotgun) because the move up to the inside run fit was predetermined. At the snap, and as Thomas ran the deep cross from left to right, Taylor shifted out to outside position to cover him, and Mundy was a step late to cover underneath as he read the fake. That step was all Thomas needed to run the post route and catch the ball at the left hashmark. He beat Taylor from inside, and had the speed edge on Mundy in intermediate coverage. From there, it was off to the races, and the touchdown that sent Denver into a pandemonium.

The mistake was Taylor's — he should have kept inside position in that instance. This wasn't a case of Mundy inadvertently biting on the run — in this coverage, he was doing what he was supposed to do. As Routt told me, it's one of the weaknesses of the coverage when you disguise it as the Steelers did. In Super Bowl XLIII, the Steelers gave up a touchdown to Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals out of a similar coverage idea.

My bad on that, though it seems the call wasn't all that stellar either

...You're countering a fact (Reggie Bush gained five yards per carry during the 2011 NFL season) with an opinion (Reggis Bush is a bust). Just as one good season doesn't erase bust status, so too does bust status not somehow vaporize his season from the books. Nobody's calling him a HoFer here.
