I wanna see my boy, Phillip, go all PHILLLIP RIVVERRRS on the Seahawks. That would be a nice way to end this miserable offseason.
 
After watching the superbowl for the first time this year I have been waiting for this for soo damn long.

I'm not as overly concerned as other Giant fans are about Prince. But the TE situation really bothers me and Jerry's direction in this position bugs me. Reminds me of the 2009 season where he neglected the Safety spots, and when Phillips was lost, the defense became easily exploitable. Jake Ballard is the best all-around TE on the roster. Trade for Carlson or await the waiver wire, where surely somebody viable will be available.

It's not saying, 'Well, we're going to move you around,' and then never do it. Here they're actually saying it and it's happening. It's not just me. It's other guys as well."

Smith, 32, says he heard talk that he had lost a step. But he suggested Saturday his lack of production was related to the unimaginative scheme employed by Fox and former offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson.

"When you're sitting on the outside for 70 plays, standing on the left trying to run around the linebackers pressing and a corner over the top, and a safety over the top, and the other linebacker buzzing. And sitting there and I'm told I'm losing a step and he's not catching as much and all that stuff," Smith said. "It's real refreshing now because in the offense now I can move around."

Smith predicted Fox's staff would respond by saying Smith's inability to retain information limited the ways they could use him.

"The quarterbacks are doing what has not been done around here in a long time. The philosophy in years past has been not to screw it up," Smith said. "And here it's put your foot down on the gas pedal and go hard. So I like that."

Here's the question. If Cam sucks as much as Clausen did, and the Panthers get the first pick in the draft, do they pick Luck? Just keep hitting that QB slot machine, fellas...

They have to. Luck has a much better shot at succeeding in the pros than Clausen/Newton.

at least I hope
. Push comes to shove, Cecil can pay some refs and cornerbacks off and buy us a couple of wins.

Seriously though, Anderson may be trash but is there any doubt he's the best QB on their roster right now?

Tell me who is better than him right now. The guy who has never taken an NFL snap, missed rookie minicamp and is just now starting to learn his offense with the handicap of having never played in an anything even close to an NFL offense in his life? Clausen and his 1:3 TD/INT ratio?

I'm not saying that Carolina should start him this year, it's pointless for them to actually try and win games when they can get their young QBs experience instead, but he's the best QB on the roster right now.

Edit: Googled it myself, Clausen only makes $3,16 Million over four years. Forgot how far he fell.

Newton=4 yrs., 22 mil (Fully Guaranteed)
Clausen=4 yrs., 6.3 mil(2.53 mil guaranteed)

This worries me. I really expected Cunningham to improve this season, but all reports on him so far have been negative.

Yup. Ellis will replace Ty Warren. Defense should be solid this season I hope.

He's a good edge rusher, and having Ellis and Haynesworth taking up space on the line will definitely help. I wouldn't worry too much about it, I'll wait to see how he looks in preseason games before calling him a bust.
