You guys are already pretty familiar with segregation, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Why the Raiders? They tried to hire Harbaugh...

And why the Rams? We suck. We don't hate on anybody. Even the STL media doesn't care about them.

They hired some manager for the baseball team and you'd think the President married the Pope. All baseball managers do is follow some spreadsheet/flowchart the GM gives them before every game. Every real sports town, football dominates the talk. But that crap town talks incessantly about dumb baseball crap.

Can't wait until the Rams move to LA/London.

Division rivals..

Are the Rockets and Grizzlies rivals? Or Rockies and Padres? I mean I think there has to be something more than just being in the same division to get worked up about it

So why is everything with Rex Ryan some kind of mini-controversy? I bet he ran away from home a bunch as a kid.

Rex Ryan isn't worth all your posts about him. He's too busy whining about how no one else can beat the Patriots, yet the fact that he lost to them twice this year and three other teams beat them didn't seem to occur to him. Not worth your time.

This downtime has me troubled. I really hope it doens't bleed over into the absolute skull fucking that Packers are going to get the Fatman and Friends.

Man I think Freeman and Ryan are the two most hated/made fun of quarterbacks in these threads. Are there any actual Tampa fans here?

Sandusky is guilty..Why the fuck would you even shower with little kids and "horse" around with them...he's a sick perverted little fuck who deserves death.

Anyhow, I was on Google+ yesterday and predicted the Packers stuffing the run which would leave to Ponder throwing a lot more and predicted the Packers D to get 4 sacks,2 INTS, and 17 fantasy points...Real life 3 sacks,1 INT, and 16 fantasy points..pretty fucking accurate if I say so myself.

Nah I trust him, anyone who beats around the bush when asked if they're sexually attracted to young boys sounds innocent.

I think Packers-GAF is reaching critical mass.

We're going to have to segregate ourselves from the rest of NFL GAF and start our own thread or something.

I'm all for this.

So has Matt Leinhart ever actually played a good game in the NFL? I thought he looked bad in preseason, but he wasn't with the first team so that's hard to judge

2006 Cardinal Season

well... he beat 4 bad teams

I hope with the Texans schedule that we can at least win 3, and that the Titans lose more than win.

I just have no idea how much work he's actually been putting in. I sure hope Gary has been responsible. Coach's response to if no. 11 can win. "We're going to find out."

The Texans have won with backup Quarterbacks(sage/tony) in the past in both the Carr and Schaub era,
and a lot of those games we just gave away. Play smart, no rosencopter bullshit.link

If Hasselback gets hurts the whole AFC south will be backups\rookies.

edit: List of Houston Texans starting quarterbacks

His career 70.8 rating and with him winning 7 out of his 16 starts, it would suggest he's really mediocre. Are there any Cards fans here who've seen him play ?

I had forgotten that Kurt Warner played so poorly that he had gotten benched for Leinart. lulz

Harbaugh has come out and said that Gore will probably be playing Sunday, but also that he feels they have a good stable of backs, implying Gore might see a limited role to rest up his knee and ankle.

Personally, I think this is a good idea, and I would even go so far as to rest him fully this week (if not just 5-10 touches) and go with Hunter. He's running extremely well, and Smith's display against the Giants coupled with Arizona's horrid pass defense will likely prevent the Cards from stacking the box.

It is as good a week as any to give Gore a rest.

Hunter and Dixon can hold their own if Gore can't go

Agreed.. especially since the Har-bowl will be on Thursday. I'd say they should give him 5-10 touches just to keep him in rhythm. I'm super excited for the Har-bowl as I'll be back in the Bay Area for Thanksgiving that weekend...

Edit: With the season the Niners are having, it's safe to assume that all 3 coordinators will be interviewing for a coaching job at the very least...Fangio, Roman and even Seely (special teams) have been nothing short of brilliant all season.

Yeah if Leinhart comes out and stinks up the joint, then that is on Gary and Rick for not securing such an piece of a team.

I always liked the Rosencopter, but that Colts game ruined him. But Carr's last year, I wanted him starting even before he got hurt.

edit: barnwell seems cautiously optimistic about him. too long to quote, but worth reading him as always

It's easy to forget how terrible Whisenhunt has been with QB's since it all gets swept under the rug b/c he lucked into Kurt Warner...IIRC, Leinart leaving Arizona wasn't simply just a performance issue (though it played a part) right? I could've sworn he got into a heated argument with Whisenhunt..

Despite all that, Whisenhunt preferred Anderson, and cut the former first-round pick. Anderson was arguably the worst opening day starter in football, and the team bounced between him and rookies Max Hall and John Navarre throughout the season. Each rated among the worst quarterbacks in football. The following year, Whisenhunt traded for Kevin Kolb. Kolb was, not coincidentally, one of the worst quarterbacks in football this season before suffering an injury. Whisenhunt is the primary reason why Matt Leinart is considered a bust, and over the course of his career as Cardinals coach, Whisenhunt has shown virtually no ability to pick the right starting quarterback for his team.

Harbaugh on the 3rd down shift that resulted in a NY offsides:

A week earlier, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh was incensed when his team penalized for "simulating a snap," ruled referee Gene Steratore. Harbaugh argued that it was a legal shift.

Harbaugh spoke to the league for a clarification. While Harbaugh said the communication with the league office is confidential, he confirmed the 49ers did not have to change a thing in order to make the play legal.

When tight end Justin Peelle was called for the penalty against the Redskins, quarterback Alex Smith was in the midst of a hard count. But Harbaugh said the penalty did not have anything to do with Smith's bobbing his head while shouting out the cadence.

"We feel like we know what to tell our players," Harbaugh said. "It's not vague. It's not arbitrary. It's a shift. It's a normal shift. And we do it all the time. We do it on first down. We do it on second down. We do it on third down. Teams have seen that we do it on third down.

"It's not the intent to draw the other team offsides. The intent is to change the strength of the formation. I don't see how anybody could have a problem with it. Shifting is a part of football and they've seen it every game that we played."
