I like Harbaugh, but that is BS. If Smith is in a hard count, and they shift, that is a false start. I really, honestly think the league office and officials have no firm idea what the rules actually are.

It has gotten overlooked because of everything else involved, but Vernon Davis actually false started on that play besides the shift.

Reading that Barnwell piece got me thinking: Do we know that Leinart was benched due strictly to poor performance? It seems like Whiz has it out for him and intentionally went with the inferior QB out of spite.

isn't there a lot of judgement within an illegal shift call? There won't be a clear definition given.

he probably saw Leinart's Punk'd episode.

I vaguely remember something about Leinhart's teammates not having confidence in him (which sounds like total BS)

again, the punk'd episode

I vaguely remember something about Leinhart's teammates not having confidence in him (which sounds like total BS) but it was something along those lines that was the last straw.

Probably banged his daughter.

There's a very hopeful side of me thinking Leinart could emerge as competent; dangerous even. But I can't remember a team in recent history so decimated by critical injuries like this. Haven't we suffered enough?

Gah, land monsters, get rid of the [/img] tag please, for the love of god.

sorry, sorry.
I don't want to scare the children.

Are any other players allowed to talk about injuries? I always thought they were well protected secrets by every team.

Tomlin needs to get on that and lock it down.

Ben is an attention whore and wants all that crap out there about how tough he is. Besides, Ben learned long ago that he can do whatever he wants there. Tomlin has no say in the matter

Where the fuck is the week 11 thread? We deserve better than this.
All I know is it better have the Cowboys in there one way or another, highlighting their journey to the Superbowl! (starts now!)

In his defense he is the toughest qb in the league.

Hey Redskin fans, this might be interesting to you.

I was listening to sports radio here in DC... They had Phillip Daniels as a guest on th LaVar Arrington and Chad Dukes show. Daniels mentioned that the huge improvement the niners are seeing in Carlos Rogers is due to him wearing contacts. He says he told Carlos and the training staff of the Redskins that he needed to get his eyes checked but nobody took him seriously. Then Carlos signs with the Niners and they force him to get an eye exam resulting in him wearing contacts and making much better plays on the ball.

No link since it was on the radio, but if that's true...

hey guys kubiak said that leinart is the future. Schaub was merely a placeholder.

Rejoice in being allowed to take part in The Resurgence.

And if Leinart does well Squicky, how will that make you feel about Bradford? Eh? Eh?

ridiculous. How do you ignore a player like that, if true.

Rogers himself didn't think there was a problem, it was Daniels suggesting it during his Redskins tenure.

He probably didn't want jokes coming his way like Reed Doughty and his deaf in one ear thing.

You mean the jokes like how he has stone hands, and "passing a how many fingers am i holding up" test like in the link i posted?

people have been suggesting him getting his eyes checked for years, dude flat out denied anything was wrong w/ them.

Great story. It's great that he is healthy enough to play. I am really excited to see him play. Especially because the oline is pretty banged up right now. This also means someone is going to be cut. My guess is that it's going to be Guyton. Did he even play in the last game?

Is that the player who beat cancer? If it is that's a damn good story, hopefully he can contribute.

Ahhhh, read it wrong. Thanks.

I mean jokes on top of those, yes.

Yes he had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I really thought I wouldn't see him play until late next season.
