I feel so fucking bad for Tony Sparano. Miami jerked him around so bad last off season. I'm obviously glad the 49ers landed Jim Harbaugh but the crap Miami pulled was some major bullshit.

If I was Sparano I would have quit right on the spot. Who needs that shit? Now once again they are already discussing his replacement before the season is over. Fuck the Dolphins.

I can't blame him for staying given he was given $6M as an apology.

If you give me $6 million, I will take every bit of shit you throw at me

Look I understand that is a lot of money, and to the average person we say would take a lot of shit for that kind of money. I don't doubt that we would. We would do that for a once in a lifetime oppurtunity.

The thing is though is that if he quit and landed a job somewhere else an lets say he got a $2 Million Dollar contract for 3 years as a head coach or even $750,000 a year as a coordinator. You still are going to get money. You can buy a house, car, and all kinds of shit with that kind of money.

What they did to him though was basically a slap in the face. Now we are always going to look at this situation and question his manhood for staying and the Dolphins look like douches for doing what they did. That was the most awkward press conference ever when he stayed on as coach.

His money would have come but damn if they didn't just take his manhood away.

I know this is on Sparano too for not stepping up and taking a stand but the Dolphins should never have put him in this position.

It's more than just him though. If he quit, his staff probably loses their jobs too as the new HC would bring in his own folk.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

Stop making fun of Flacco guys. Hes one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Road to redemption for the Eagles starts this week. Expect them to win at least 10 games propelling them to a playoff berth.

NFC playoff picture:

Packers
Saints
Giants
49ers
Eagles
Who cares.

How are people NOT picking the Cowboys to win their division? Take a look at the rest of their schedule compared to the rest of their division. They have the easiest by far--easy enough to overcome their shortcomings as a team.

That is a good point and maybe he owes it to his staff, but man it just gets me riled up thinking if my boss was going to do that to me.

Of course the writing was pretty much on the wall they were going to fire him this year anyway unless he won the Super Bowl so, all he did was prolong the inevitable and his STAFF is going to have to find work any how.

He can make bank as a college coach bring his staff with him there.

I'm sure there are reasons abound why he stayed, still doesn't mean it doesn't piss me off.

Fellow 49er fans!

I like this attitude!

49ers not content with 5-1

Also...Why can't I vote for Frank Gore as the Fed Ex Ground player of the week this week.
It also appears I can't vote Aldon Smith as Rookie of the Week what kind of madness is this?

Gruden just signed a 5 year deal with espn.

Is there anything in the contract that stops him from taking a head coaching gig?

Otherwise it means as much as a college football head coach extension.

As a team, possibly. But Romo's shortcomings? That's a whole nother zipcode.

every team of all time says this:

1. one play at a time! one game at a time!
2. we haven't done anything yet!
3. we're not content with where we are!
4. we can't look behind or ahead, we just have to concentrate on this game!

etc etc. i'll believe it when i see it. cleveland is a good test not because they are a tough team but they are a team we should destroy. we'll see!

Cleveland is a good test because they are the sort of team Harbaugh would gameplan conservatively against early on this year. They are no real threat to score, much like Seattle and Cincy were no real threats. Curious if the Niners still play just to win or if they go all out on Cleveland.

They are the best team in the NFC if they get a consistent run game.

Yeah cliches are cliche but I really believe it. I just can't believe Harbaugh doesn't have this team feeding into it. In fact Harbaugh just seems to be a big old coaching cliche. It is actually funny because my wife was all like " He looks like he should be playing a coach on a movie or TV show." Because he looks like the text book picture of a coach.

"The goal is to be better today then you were yesterday! Then tomorrow be better than you are today!" Harbaugh really seems to have made this his credo and I think the team buys it. I'm not stupid the 49ers aren't going to win every game and this game seems like it could be the ultimate trap game, and don't get me wrong I'm worried about it. However, after hearing VD and Whitner they just had a tone in their voice that was all business.

Players definitely take on the attitude of the coach and I think Harbaugh has the right attitude. All I hear on local sports radio is how much the fans want Norv Turner fired because he has the personality of a tree stump and they feel the players inherit this personality.

I know it is cliche but I think the players believe it because they are seeing results.

So we can talk about Affliction shirts and fantasy football his not allowed here? Is this not America?

So, I just was offered this trade. What do you think, eznark?

Greg Jennings, Brandon Marshall, Ryan Mathews, Rob Gronkowski
for
Larry Fitzgerald, Stevie Johnson, Chris Johnson, Owen Daniels

I'm not crazy to instantly jump on Jennings + ridding myself of Chris Johnson, right?

Well you should at least feel good about Ponder that was a descent first outing.

I'm on the Ponder bandwagon! Ponder to Jenkins all season.

Does Greg Camirillo still play for the Vikings? He can be your white QB to white WR combo!

No way does Miami want Gruden to come in if they get Luck. That guy. That guy just hates playing young quarterbacks, man.

Oh I imagine all the coaches will line up to run that team if they get Luck. Not sure about Indy b/c I'm not sure they would want to work under the Polians

I really think the Rams are out of it. They'll win a game or two. Either Indy or MIA will go 0-16

Yeah I can see them squeaking a win against the cards or seachickens. I think Mia is a lock since they lost their chance to win it against godboy.

Chris Johnson's upcoming schedule is unbelievable, so I can see why a guy might want to make this deal. But Jennings and Mathews (provided healthy) are clear, reliable upgrades and Gronkowski is going to outperform Daniels. Marshall...well...he tries? Still a good deal though. If you have some other decent receivers it's worth taking.

The only good thing about the Det/Den game is going to be when Sue does some dirty shit to TIMMAH! That will simultaneously rid us of Tebow and cement Sue as the most hated man in America.
