Joe Six-Pack: posting for the common man

One of our "better" corners, and no one else wants him. Should tell you something about the state of our secondary. Of course, yesterday's game told you enough...
I cant believe you have Molden on your squad.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin revealed Monday that CB Justin Tryon played the second half of Sunday's win with a broken arm.
That's too bad. He played a pretty good game was getting worked into the defense much more in the slot and on the outside. It allowed them to move Rolle back to his natural safety position.

Prince on Welker hahahahahahaha oh the Nightmare..
You're out of your mind if you think anyone other than Webster would be on Welker. If the Giants are smart they will play the same type of press/man scheme that Pittsburgh played and put the onus on the front four to generate pressure on Brady (which they can). We have press corners that have been playing too much damned zone so I'm hoping Fewell realizes Brady will absolutely murder us if we play a ton of zone and give those tight ends 10 yard cushions in the middle of the field.

The problem is whether they will hold up against the run or not. The Pats would be stupid not to run the ball against us considering the Giants defense is pretty freaking awful against the run. Especially between the tackles on Osi's side.

I can't believe it either.

Also, WTH happened to our Oline yesterday? They were pretty good all season long, and now Vollmer struggled and Mankins played worse than I've ever seen him play...

It's on a week to week basis. Not the past, not the future, but on that week, based on what you saw. 22/35 295 3 TDs is a pretty good stat-line for the week. Although I do think Stafford got snubbed.

.

Ok.

make sense. but how come Aaron is up on it. He was on a bye. Is he that good?
Yes

Giants are going to have to Release The Kraken all up in New England.

That's true. I don't know then, I always thought he prefaced by saying "this week this is who I would take". Doesn't really make sense then, does it?

I remember hearing the announcer on CBS say this during the Giants game and I bust out laughing. I was like WTF?!

Newton is an aberration. Stafford will not make it through a whole season to the playoffs. Schaub had his first rushing TD (in a long time)! He has heard our cries!

Halfway there!

I'd take Newton over Stafford. I think the only person I'd put ahead of him (outside of the 4 already ahead of him) is Vick since he is healthy. Eli too I guess.

I'm gonna reduce the image a bit but it's going to get plenty of use every time we sack Tom this upcoming week.

And Fatman has more wins already than Scam will the entire season.

Not Cam's fault Fatman has an NFL caliber defense :(

I dont think the Giants have the offense to do what Pittsburgh did to NE.If they struggled with the Dolphins at home surely they will have problems at NE.

Also,Fuck the Giants.

I see my image will not goto waste, Futurevoid. Awesome.

As much as I would like to blame all of Denver's problems on Josh McDaniels... John Fox needs a more offensive minded person in there, because his play calling this year has been absoutely atrocious.

Can someone avatarize this very sexy picture for a very special Pats fan in need of a new avatar for the month of November.

Thanks in advance.

I like Newton's ability to run the ball when necessary. He's a dual-threat, something Stafford isn't quite yet, even though he's a strong pocket QB right now. Right now I think it's a toss-up.

Our problems against the Dolphins weren't offense oriented. It had to do with our defense being asleep for three quarters (and even then the Fins only managed 17 points).

Offensively, we're putting up 24 points per game and we put up over 400 yards of offense against the Dolphins. 349 of which were through the air, which the Pats can't seem to defend..at all.

Considering how shit poor your defense is, yeah I think Eli and company can move the ball and put up points. If we lose the game (and it's going to be tough to win with the Pats coming off a big loss and in your stadium) it will be because of our defense.

I'll just say 18-1. The "fuck the pats" is just inferred.

Did anybody post the article showing how Denver ran the spread offense on the first drive where Denver went right down the field and scored and then didn't run it again for almost the entire game?

Tebow is a terrible QB, don't get me wrong, but when you see that type of thing it makes you wonder if Fox is trying his hardest to make this guy fail.

its not obvious they are trying to set him up for failure after they trade away the best playmakers on offense?

I wont be surprised at any outcome of this game.I have no faith in the defense anymore at all.

I was of the same mind last year (you might recall that I was somewhat impressed with some of the things he did when given a shot) but this year...I no longer think so. He's been asked to do a little bit more (mostly because I think Elway wants him to fail so the organization can move on) and simply doesn't have the arm to get it done. To throw those quick routes you need lots of accuracy or lots of velocity (or a combination). He has neither. He throws a poor ball poorly. The window on slants and outs closes to almost non-existent at the NFL level and Tebow just can't get away with sloppy ball placement (lol).

Whatever wizardy the Panthers are currently doing, with their crossing routes and pre-snap confusion that miraculously results in Steve Smith being open by 45 yards...that's the offense Tebow could succeed in, but I don't think that sort of thing is sustainable or an accident. The personnel combination of backs who can catch, two receiving tight ends and Steve mo'fo' Smith plus a mobile QB are the "secret" formula. Good luck replicating that for Tebow.

I don't know. I think the kid is doomed by his arm.

Yeah, his arm will always be an issue. When Tebow played Kiffin's D, he did jack shit. They cheated both safeties to the trips side and left the backside WR one on one because they knew he couldn't hit the deep ball from the wide side of the hash, or a deep comeback for that matter. They basically cheated both safeties to the inside routes and short stuff and let the outside WRs go one on one outside. He always had short area accuracy however, which hasn't been there this season, but I don't think the Broncos are packaging routes the way Florida was.

Look at Gabbert and the Jags, they have him passing out of 2 back, 2 receiver sets, he probably didn't do that more than half a dozen times at Missouri. Guy was all gun, routes were short and he got the ball out fast. Now I'm not blaming his troubles squarely on the "system," but it definitely doesn't help his cause.

With respect to Chudzinski and Newton, Chud's been around some of the best offensive minds in football. I guess the guy is just that good of a coach. Personnel helps, he's getting a lot out of those tight ends. How long before he's plucked away from the Panthers?

Contrast Chud, with another great football mind in Linehan. I don't think anyone believes that Linehan enhances Stafford, in fact you often see Lion fans bashing Linehan. Bad coach or bad QB....

We will use that one for BaltimoreLarry next Monday. Either that or a picture of Flacco after he gets benched.

Say goodbye to Cam for two weeks.

Find me the post! I went and CTRL-F'ed for my username on all the pages leading up to the start of yesterday's games and I don't see it anywhere. I will honor it if it's true, but I'm pretty sure I didn't make any avy bets this week holmes.

How about we compromise? I'll knock it down to one week if you don't make me find the post...

Some good news on the injury front to balance out the bad news of Tryon having to get surgery on his arm.
