Kraft has always been an asshole.

Is he gonna talk to Brady about Gisele's nude photos?

I remember when he made Parcells apologize for calling Terry Glenn a "she" b/c it offended his wife.

Belichick ruining 4 marriages? Cheating his way to 3 SBs? Rodney Harrison forearms to WRs' heads? All of that is fine.

But God forbid his TE let a porn starlet wear his jersey

I just saw Stephen A...I can't believe ESPN aired that. I mean, fuck. That was real AND he said something the general sports fan would agree with, not merely regurgitating some dumb script or spewing stuff that is not really offensive.

I wish him luck, but doesn't ESPN usually not like these sorts of skewers? I haven't watched ESPN programming other than E60's for a year-ish now so lemme know.

i can't believe no one is calling t.o. i know he has the perception of a lockerroom cancer but the guy can clearly still play. he looks like a beast and last season he performed well for cincy.

i know for most teams with a good record and headed in the right direction it doesn't make much sense to bring him in and fuck with the chemistry on the team, but couldn't a team like the bears/vikings/browns use a guy like owens? i feel bad for him :/

I think you answered your own question. For a team like bears/vikings/browns T.O. isnt going to put them over the top, so why waste the $ and time when it'd be much better spent at least trying to develop your younger players? Dude is gonna be THIRTY EIGHT a month from now. Fuck that.

any browns fan want to man-up and have a month long avatar bet!?

Lets do it! I'm sick of this avatar anyway and have a funny feeling about this game where I dont think it's a LOCK that SF wins easy.

Rams are now the oldest team in the NFL. PIT formerly had the most over-30 players, but the Rams for some stupid reason cut their 7th round pick for a backup OT. Not that they didn't need a backup OT, but maybe cut the 30 yr old 4th string running back who never plays.

The 7th rounder wasn't playing, but he had potential. It's been my complaint with the owner the whole year. You can't let Spags and Devaney ruin the future as they futility try and save their jobs. They've cut three under-25 guys who have ended up on other teams' rosters this year.

Meanwhile there's a "bust watch" for Robert Quinn going on now, which will only pick up momentum once the World Series is over. Chris Long gets blocked by TEs with ease.

Whoever takes over will inherit a clusterfuck of a team. No decent coach would want the job.

Wow, really? Had no idea, how are they the oldest team in the nfl? Would've thought it'd be the Ravens or Steelers.

They were the 2nd youngest team in the league last year. But this offseason, they cut a bunch of young guys, and signed 12 over 30 FAs. It was clear there was a win now mandate. So they just decided to not develop any young players for the future.

Now this coaching staff and personnel department are so inept, they wouldn't have needed those 12 FAs had they developed young talent from the 2009 and 2010 drafts. Nothing in sports is worse than old and bad.

The thing about Suck for Luck; I think Miami and Indy are subtly doing things to lose on purpose. The Rams are actually trying to win, and they are last in points scored and 31st in points allowed.

Yeah. There has not been more than one good thing for this team this year. Only one I can think of is Laurinaitis, I think he's solid still.

But that's the thing, he was a 2nd round pick. They basically don't get anything beyond their 1st and 2nd round guys. And right now, Quinn, Long, and Jason Smith are all average at best. It's not just this year. This is the fruit of really bad talent evaluation over the past 2-3 years.

And they are compounding it by cutting ties with young players who may be able to contribute in 2012, simply b/c Spags/Devaney can't afford to worry about the future.

Indy has to be sucking for Luck. there is no other explanation for why that team is so poor. Even without Manning they should at least put up a fight or something.

Could have asked any LSU fan whether or not Jamarcus was worth a shit as an NFL QB and you would have gotten a "fuck no". It was obvious to us that Jamarcus fleeced the NFL the moment he signed the contract.

So due to injuries, Skins will be starting an offense that makes a combined $12 million this year (only 25 million at the start of the season). lolwut, this is still only the 2nd lowest behind ... the Denver Broncos.

He also wanted Logan Mankins to publicly apologize for his comments last season. I also think that "benching" of Welker in the playoff game last season was because of him as well. Belichick takes the blame, but it smells like a Kraft move to me.

There are lots of QBs who are white and religious

That is true but for some reason Tebow has become the face for those people. He seems to really resonate with certain people for some reason.

I think people want to be more right than the pundits on this one as well. Coming out of college, despite all his success at Florida, the analysts said that Tebow basically had no business playing the sport. It basically sounded like he wasn't fit to put a uniform on and never should have been drafted.

People also relate well to someone they perceive as "one of them". For some fans, they believe that Tebow is like a regular guy who won't be corrupted by the money and fame because of his beliefs.

Brees is a lot like that, only he has talent as well. He's a great leader for the team and a guy who stands up for his own mistakes. Tebow has a similar mindset and I think people really like to get behind a player like that. Tebow will work hard, and will play hard. Fans appreciate that about the guy, no matter how much he actually might suck. I think people felt the same about noodle-armed Pennington. He just didn't have the ability to take a team all the way, but he worked his ass off and had an enthusiasm for playing the game and getting better.

I wasnt being coy at all. I really dont understand his popularity at all. Last year he had one of the highest selling jerseys in the NFL before he ever played a down. He is insanely popular, way more then any other rookie QB I have ever seen. I think it is that there is a segment of society that feels under represented by the media, and they have latched on to Tebow. I have heard more about him this week on Philadelphia sports radio then I have about Eagles Cowboys. It is crazy how much they talk about him on ESPN radio.

Ya. It's absurd. In my opinion he deserved every bit of the punishment Haynesworth got for the head stomp. 5 games for attempting to seriously and permanently injure someone seems lenient. No suspension and $20,000 is an absolute joke.

Kurt Warner wasn't as great of a college qb.

Also I thought that Warner got a ton of press about his beliefs once the Rams started winning. Warners problem was no one knew him or cared about him coming into the NFL.

But you called him the anti-Vick. Vick ordered and enjoyed the killing of dogs who lost in the dog fighting ring he set up. If being a white, religious QB who doesn't torture animals were all it took to achieve Tebow's fame, he'd have quite the competition in jersey sales

It is only twice as bad as calling your wife to let her know you are ok after a concussion.

Why wouldn't you kick Brady in the crotch the first play of the game? There is almost no dis-incentive to doing so (other than vagina kicks seem to hurt much less than testicle shots). You don't get ejected, it costs you 15 yards (big fucking deal, move them from the 20 to the 35) and you have effectively ruined the rest of Brady's day if not removed him from the game.

If it's anything like Minnesota, you'll even have local writers talking about what a great upstanding guy you are and how you're totally not a dirty player. Christ, the publicity alone has been worth it to a no-name shit heel backup like Robison.

From Geoff Mosher's twitter:

Asante is right though. Howie Roseman is a glorified accountant who takes over the GM position with zero credibility or experience. Banner is a salary cap guy who has kept the Eagles in great financial shape, but is known to be harsh with players.

If they didn't want Asante trade him. Or better yet why did they break the bank for him when they already had Lito and Sheldon? They knew Asante doesn't tackle and likes to play his own D.

Imagine if Robison had been wearing the wrong colored shoes, the fine would have increased by 25%!
