The Packers are not unstoppable.

BUT, the Chargers are a horrible fucking team. If you had 2010 Rivers it would have been close and one of the teams would have fucked up at the end. But with 2011 Rivers he might score more points than the Packers offense the way he is playing.

Rivers might go for 5 INTS and 500 yards in this game because I can see him having the ball and playing from behind for 60 minutes.

Think about it this way:

The Chargers can't be any worse Sunday than they were two days ago. That was the worst day ever.

It's not the Chargers that are horrible. There defense has fallen down from the start, but GOD DAMN IT RIVERS.

when we were 4-1 it was the best chargers team with the worst rivers season ever and now its coming back to bite us

That was the worst Monday ever

This will be the worst Sunday ever

Let's do this:

EARLY

Miami at Kansas City - Miami lost to Tebow.
Atlanta at Indianapolis - Indianapolis is tanking for Luck.
Tampa Bay at New Orleans - Upset special. No reason. Just needed one.
NY Jets at Buffalo - This is the game to watch early.
Seattle at Dallas - Offense was clicking at the end of last week.
Cleveland at Houston - Cleveland is a sneaky team. But, it's Houston's year finally.
San Francisco at Washington - SF = eliminated in 1st playoff game. Come at me bros.

LATE

Cincinnati at Tennessee - Gotta come back to Earth someday, right? Right?!
Denver at Oakland - Palmer is bad, but not Tebow bad.
NY Giants at New England - No explanation needed.
St. Louis at Arizona - I dunno. Toss up, really.
Green Bay at San Diego - Best Day Ever

5-STAR MATCH UP

Baltimore at Pittsburgh - Like I said when I predicted the last game: Bet on the better defense. It's a close bet, though.

MONDAY

Chicago at Philadelphia - Merry Vickmas. (Cue the Dreamin' of a White Vickmas Pic)

Giants practice report. From healthy after the bye to 9 guys on the injury list (some not so new):

ebenezersamuel Ebenezer Samuel
Just got our pre-practice list of injured guys. Drumroll please . . . CB Amukamara (foot), OL Andrews (back), C Baas (knee) . . . Continued

ebenezersamuel Ebenezer Samuel
LB Boley (knee), RB Bradshaw (foot), FB Hynoski (neck), WR Nicks (Hamstring), DE Tuck (groin/neck), DE Umenyiora (shoulder)

Breakdown:
Osi Umenyiora - Shoulder injury is new. Coughlin doesn't see any long term issues with it. He won't practice today but that's normal as per the schedule he's on with his knee
Ahmad Bradshaw - Will not practice today. His foot is sore and swollen so he'll be kept out. Hopes to have him back tomorrow. Exams on foot showed no structural issues.
Hakeem Nicks - Will not practice today. His hamstring is "day to day". Coughlin says he's saying all the right things and appears to be doing well but they are taking it slow to make sure it doesn't linger.
David Baas - Will not practice. His knee is sore so he'll be kept out.

Everyone else will be practicing today including Henry Hynoski apparently who missed Sunday's game. Justin Tuck came out Sunday's game sore but with no setbacks and will practice.

Coughlin also noted that both Prince Amukamara and Ramses Barden will be pushed harder this week and given more to do. It sounds like both will be looking to take the field on Sunday. Barden can be activated now that placing Tryon on IR opened up a roster spot.

Belichick had his press conference today and had this to say about the Giants line:

"It's a huge challenge. Most times you play a team, and that team might have one player that's the caliber of rusher that you really feel can ruin a game. The Giants have five of those guys."

"Sometimes it's hard to find them (defensive linemen), and it's hard to block them. They present a huge challenge. It's as good a group as I've seen in a long time."

Pretty much. Tolbert was out last game. Mathews broke a nail or something. Brinkley suffered a concussion.
Want to drink to our sorrows this sunday Nightz? I don't want to see too many turnovers but it's bound to happen mang

I don't drink, but if I did, I would start Saturday night and drink all the way until the game. With any luck, you'll pass out before it starts.

The lowest moment in the 2010 49ers season undeniably came when San Francisco fans started chanting for David Carr to enter a game.

Alex Smith has helped make that a distant memory, but there is a similarly depressing movement happening in Arizona right now.

John Skelton is suddenly a popular guy.

John Skelton told Darren Urban of the team’s official website that it’s “hard to ignore” the fact fans have been clamoring for Skelton to play over Kevin Kolb. With Kolb battling a toe injury this week, the home faithful may get their wish.

Cardinals fans clearly have short memories. Skelton was rough around the edges to put it mildly last year, although he had some decent moments for a rookie.

Ken Whisenhunt has to really hope Kolb plays this week. Kolb is obviously going to start every game this year when healthy and a matchup against the Rams provides Arizona with a great chance to get a win.

If Skelton does start and pulls off the victory, he’s only going to get more popular.

So Giants-age..what's the story with Jacobs? Is he being phased out?
This year? No. Next year? He's gone. The Giants aren't paying him 4.4 million to sit on the bench.

He just came out this week and said he's going to be a "changed man" and bury all of the negativity. Which I believe because he's done so in the past. The problem is why all the negativity needed to crop up AGAIN in the early part of the season? Apparently he's pissed that he's not getting the play time to hit the incentives the Giants built into his reworked contract but then when you go out on the field and lay a giant fucking egg like he did on Sunday....

He'll get carries but right now the Giants have more to worry about in so far as their running game is concerned than the usual Jacobs bitching. Like an offensive that can't run block..

(Please respond before Wellington reads this and yells at me).

He was hurt, and his return was unspectacular, but he did pick up some key blitzes Sunday when AB was in the locker room being checked out my the medical staff, but not all of it is his fault the line is PATHETIC at run blocking, even Bradshaw is having a down year, the Giants have turned into a pass first team..

They should put Skelton in. He beat the shit out of the Broncos last year when I saw them in person.

Eh, fans will always chant for the back up when the qb/team is doing bad. Not one niner fan in the gaf thread thought putting in Carr would be a good idea, I'll tell you that much.

The Cardinals overall are bad. Old on Defense, terrible on offense. Whiz is so absorbed with being the Steelers he doesn't realize the pieces he has are washed up.

Jacobs looked soft every time he runs though, not breaking any tackles, not making anyone miss.
I think he is never going to be back to form, but if he gets his strength running game back he can be a good second back.

It's really tough to determine how much is Kolb and how much is the team just well and truly sucks at every position.

He dropped an open screen pass and almost fumbled away an easy handoff.

With Bradshaw iffy for the Patriot game, I'm thinking Scott gets a few touches.

From ESPN Insider (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7180953/analyzing-best-worst-nfl-quarterbacks-cap-value)

Meanwhile, the Panthers nabbed Newton in the first post-CBA draft, and are making out like bandits. At $1 million for every 5.3 points of EPA, Newton would be worth something like $17 million a year on the open market today ... and he's just 22 years old. . .

. . .And Carolina fans should get ready: the last time a team had a quarterback this young and this good this far below market value locked up for this long, his name was Tom Brady.

:O

I keep asking myself the same thing and they keep losing. Beyond Fitzgerald, I'm not sure they have any stand out players at all. And when teams know that Kolb is just going to chuck it to Fitzgerald 30 times a game, I think it's pretty easy to cover him.

Not gonna lie. You guys are divisional rivals, so fuck you, but you have a very promising QB and I respect him more each game. I will say that Cam has absolutely proven me (and many others) completely wrong. He slings the ball around and doesn't give a fuck like Favre. That makes him very dangerous.

Isnt that what Detroit does?

You guys rolling with the same avatars again? I will if you two are. Texans and Coogs are both 2-0 since we all went with our losing avatars.

keeping it. I hope we can take care of the Browns without AJ. If we can beat the Jags, we should handle them with ease. AJ just needs to get healthy. You think he plays?

lol at the Coogs tho. They are gonna suck once Case leaves.

At least in our fantasy league, Newton ranks No.2 currently amongst all quarterbacks.
Picked him up week 3 as a free agent.

Glad I have him on my team... along with Aaron Rodgers :)

I say sit AJ out. Unless they Texans just completely fuck it up they should beat the browns.
They(browns) are not an Offensive powerhouse and the D ranks below the jags. I say that but I'm not celebrating until the game clock reaches ZERO in the fourth.

Interesting how they will probably go up against one of their former running backs. Well good for him, he played hard and got a starting position in the league.

Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis(notes) has rushed for fewer yards this season (211) than Cowboys rookie DeMarco Murray(notes) had a single game (253), and he's missed more games (three) than he's been in the end zone (two). Since winning a fan vote to be put on the cover of "Madden 12," Hillis has engaged in public squabbles about his contract, missed a game because of strep throat, was accused of milking that illness for contract purposes and got married one day before saying he hopes he's not becoming a distraction. The last thing he needs is more bad publicity, but that's what he's getting this week in Cleveland after he allegedly blew off a Halloween party for 50 kids that he agreed to attend.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Hillis' brother and agent confirmed that the running back would attend the event hosted by the Cleveland Boys and Girls Club. His presence was promoted and 50 children attended, some of whom were bussed from other locations to meet Hillis. Then the Browns star never showed.

LeCharles Bentley(notes), a former NFL Pro Bowler, is on the board of the Boys and Girls Club and tweeted his frustration at the no-show on Tuesday:

Peyton Hillis looking for 10mil guaranteed from Browns and can't show up to kids charity event? #ManPlease.

Bentley wouldn't comment further when questioned by the newspaper, and representatives of Hillis couldn't be reached. The latter is a massive public relations gaffe. Not showing up was bad, not explaining why you didn't show up is much, much worse.

Without knowing the context, we'll hold off on judging Hillis on his no-show. But he'd be wise to remember that sometimes it's not about your actions but the perception of those actions. Even Cleveland pariah LeBron James knows better than to make a bad impression with kids.

I think he's done also, but as I stated the line is shit, we have turned into the Colts, we can pass protect, but can't open a lane if someone's life depended on it, I swear every thing they run I am ready to cue the Benny Hill music because it funny looking at them run block, the defenders must have oil on there jerseys and hands because they come off the blocks so easy...

In the TC era the lowest rush rank is 17th... still have 9 games left, right now the rush game is 30th...

We are 4th in the league passing...

and to complete my Colts comparison Rush defense is 28th in the league..
