what is this, i dont even. Texans fans are so inconsistent, 9-7 season they couldn't run for shit and everyone is yelling that they shouldn't be running it so much and were so happy when he finally gave up on it at about the second half of the Cardinals game and for the rest of the season.Miguel said:While we're looking at rushing stats...
Ben Tate is currently 1 yard away from giving the Texans two of the top 10 rushing leaders this season.
Foster at #9, Tate at #11
I love having a fairly consistent running game and Kubiak finally not abandoning the run 5 minutes into the game.
fucking ignorance.Feels good man. Feels so good. I kind of want to start direct snapping to one or the other of those two and just leave Schaub out of the equation as much as possible.

Wow.Lions have the NFL's fourth-best pass defense, based on opponents' passer rating.

Where are you getting 10th from? NFL.com shows them at 6th... right behind, you guessed it... the #5 Houston Texans at 18.1 PPGmeljeff said:Hmmm...I don't know if I've ever seen defense quantified that way?
I will say to me personally that PPG is a better stat to gauge defensive performance. You can give up 900 yards but if the other team doesn't score then so what.
Cam Newton is throwing the ball all over but it doesn't equate to wins.
I think it is more impressive that the Lions are giving up only 18.4 PPG which ranks 10th in the league.
Then you look that they are scoring 29.9 PPG which is 4th in the league.
That is a recipe for success
Oh and would you look at that! The 49ers are #1 in PPG allowed with 15.3 a game.
Then they rank #6 in offense with 26.7 PPG that is a recipe for success as well.

Unless you've played the Packers, you're schedule is fucking cake.FrenchMovieTheme said:why is it that whenever someone discredits the niners they say "well look at the division they play in!". we're 6-1 and we've played 1 game against an NFC west opponent. how does our 6-1 record have anything to do with the NFC west? if you want to say we've had a weak schedule (we haven't) then whatever but it has nothing to do with our division
i wish i got paid good money to be a stupid fucking talking head analyst who has no idea wtf he's talking about.

Drakeon said:The fact that we have 3 wins against east coast teams on the east coast is an indication of just how tough this team is (and how tough our schedule's been). Its complete BS we have to play a 4th, especially so soon. Although I do like waking up to the 49ers playing the early game, even if it does hurt their chances![]()
I wish you guys got to play the Pack this year. Looking at the rest of their schedule...jeeze. They could go undefeated. Although I really like our chances against them. Both at home and on the road since our away record is so damn good. Hell, we might have a better chance of beating them in Lambeau rather than at home with the way things are going lol.meljeff said:Man it is just water off a ducks back. The 49ers can shut the talking heads up by continuing to win football games. I think in this case it isn't the 49ers playing teams in their division but the fact that the 49ers already have a 4 game lead in their division.
I mean hell Green Bay is 7-0 and are only 2 games up. So I think people are saying there isn't any way they shouldn't win the NFC West unless they completely self destruct.
No respekDoomsayer said:6 of our 8 away games are 1:00 pm est starting times, that is some pretty blatant trolling by the NFL. Especially during the CBA negotiations they were saying that teams traveling EAST to WEST were at a disadvantage.

Part of the 49ers' success has been their trips to the East Coast. They seem like brutal travel schedules, but for a team on West Coast time, kickoffs in the East are at 10 a.m. And everyone knows testosterone levels peak in the morning and then plummet after lunch. Advantage: SanFran.
