Not at all. I've gone on record saying I fully expect to lose at Denver. We'll be lucky if we split the series.
What's hilarious is everyone is picking the Broncos (correctly), and I mention how passive-aggressive folks at work are, and Godslay responds by saying the game doesn't matter and they're the underdogs.
Get that crap out of here. He already said this is going to be an easy game for them in the last thread. Don't hedge your bets now...stick with your guns. When you win, celebrate. On the off-hand you lose, you can't say the game doesn't matter.
Find the post where I said it would be an easy game... you won't because I never did. That's your own creation. I said we would blow the doors off of some team, and everyone else speculated who it would be, but did I ever say who it was?
I don't expect it to be an easy game, but I fully expect to beat KC both games. At home and away. Will it happen? I don't know.
Does it matter if they win, sure, but my measure has always been playoffs first, and I am more than happy to find that post for you. I fully explained my reasoning for this, but you want to force it to fit your perception of me being insecure, and blowing off the loss as inconsequential. If they win I will be happy, if they lose I will be sad, but it doesn't derail the season, with the assumption we get a seat in the playoffs.
So keep trying to paint me in whatever way you see fit. Doesn't matter. What I wanted to see from this team was set a long time ago, long before you decided to post here with regularity. Trying to move my goalposts doesn't matter to me, so go on.
As far as underdogs, according to you, the W is all that matters, so judging by that logic we are the underdogs. It's not backtracking or playing down expectations. Undefeated team facing a team that has lost. Pretty simple, if we use your method of discounting any stats or relative performance indicators, and use the win column as a indication of how a game may play out.
For the record this is what I said about the Chargers and Chiefs last week, unedited.
Divisional games, so I tend to not underestimate either one. Really in my mind it depends on which Bronco team shows up. If its the sloppy turnover team, with the burn your dick off defense then both the Chiefs and Chargers can beat us. If its the team that showed up in the 2nd half against Washington, I think we beat both teams by 2 TDs.
I think Chargers have a better capability of recovering if down, or pulling ahead than the Chiefs do. Especially with Rivers playing well. With the Chiefs, they are going to have to force us to play a low scoring game, and force turnovers to pull it out. Last years game in KC is what they should aim for if they want to win. Otherwise I agree that Alex shouldn't (assuming the defense plays well) be able to keep up with Peyton.
Guess we will see in the next 3 weeks!
