I really like Jennings, I think he's a good back. I do know that McFadden turned down a contract extension that was offered to him this year by the Raiders, he probably figures the same thing I do, that IF he can stay healthy, he'll earn some money.
Agreed. I think if we do make any moves aside from locking down players it's maybe finding an O-Line man to replace Khalif Barnes, and some other DT to rotate in from time to time.

Nah, it was pretty bad, especially with cap in the picture. We had aging and beat up talent and had to lean on overpaid free agents like Julius Jones. We also lost Hutchinson after 2005, and he made our running game of the time work. I remember those times, and a lot if what we did leaned on the ineffectiveness of the NFC West in general.
Like I said though, with the rate of roster churn and Carroll retaining final say on personnel decisions our previous condition wasn't all that relevant to the rebuild itself beyond making it happen.
Another point is that we're all about putting the right pegs into the right holes, whether that means adjusting the schemes or plays, putting a player in a better position to succeed, or just moving on. After all, Red Bryant started as DT but was moved to DE and has flourished there.
Then you look at whatever Rivera and Shula are doing in Charlotte and shake your head.
