Filed to ESPN: Browns RB Trent Richardson to Indy for Colts' first-round pick.

Wow

WHAT THE?! Did not see that one coming. Was Richardson really that unhappy in Cleveland? Or was the coach so inept he did not know what to do with him? Indy just got a run game.

Reminds me of the Lynch trade, end results may be the same.

At least they got the most possible for him.

Yeah, I mean at least now the Browns have something to talk about this year. Plus they'll have a top 3 pick and a top 20-ish pick? For a team as bereft of talent as they are that's huge. They can take someone good with the 1-3 pick then piss away a pick on Manziel with the Colts pick.

Great move from Cleveland. Not like they were a power running back away from greatness.

What the fuck?! My brain thought it was a joke at first.

So we throw Brian Hoyer to the fucking wolves? I'm mind fucked.

Who blows it up at 0-2?

RB's are not hard to find in later rounds or as UDFA. Tate will also be a free agent next year if they still wish to be competitive,.

If you're Tate, you want to go to Cleveland? I rest my case right there. No Free Agents with actual talent go to Cleveland. They can only build through the draft. They will have to gamble in the draft with another set of rookies. I see way more negatives instead of positives for Cleveland.

Joe Six-Pack: posting for the common man
Wait, just a single 1st? wtf?

So sorry, Browns-GAF. :(

Colts got fleeced. Only RB in the league worth a 1 is All Day Adrian Peterson.

RBs are the easiest position to draft and have one of the shortest shelf lives of any position.

Why are people saying Browns are getting a late teens/20's pick? Colts barely beat the raiders at home by 4 and lost to Miami at home. They're gonna go 1-3 against the NFC West at best and 1-3 against the AFC West. They'll at best be 7-9.

Doesn't matter where the pick is. Browns will use it to trade to the number one spot to take Clowney/Bridgewater.

bish gets all the credit :)
The only way the Clowns win a game is with some pick sixes. Their defensive unit must fucking hate the offense.

They don't want him or he wants out?

Guy is gonna want top 5 C money and there is almost zero percent chance they're gonna give it to him.

Been reading a lot about him not being here next year and he's actually been sucking it up lately anyway...So I expect him gone aswell.

Parity is high, but I really do not think the Chargers and Chiefs are above this Parity. LoL

Picking Trent third overall was stupid at the time, and it looks more stupid now.

At the same time, getting a first-round pick for a running back from any team is fantastic. And don't rule out the Colts' pick being higher than expected, they're not a world-beater and this is the NFL where anything can happen.

Well I think Indy assumes that with this addition they will now finish much better than they would have.

You are the best at spinning trades

Weeden pick was their big mistake, desperate attempt by a regime that was on the outs. At the time I thought Weeden was capable on a team with talent that had a small window to win. Guy doesn't have time to grow with a team, just a foolish move for them.

Dude is overrated. Maybe the change in scenery will help.

Does anyone actually rate him though? He is only talked about because he is the only notable person on a fucking nightmarishly pathetic roster outside of HoF'er Thomas and no one gives a fuck about offensive linemen.

The front office just told the whole roster they are quitting on the season. I expect the players to do the same. Gonna see a lot of self preservation and guys seeing specialists for second opinions to get on IR

Trent Truck to Indy. Holy shit
Wow, wow, wow!
Whoa, where the hell did that trade come from?
WHAT THE FUCK.
oh my god
Bulldog_slides.gif
KAVE ARE YOU OKAY? PLEASE POST IF YOU ARE OKAY?!

Wow, that came out of left field. This NFL season is nuts.
Uhhhhhh HOLY SHIT!
Kave I honestly don't think anyway here would hold it against you if you left.
Wait, just a single 1st? wtf?

So sorry, Browns-GAF. :(
Trent Truck club disbanded! its time to pack it up browns gaf.
WHo is the RB now in Cleveland?
Kave on suicide watch.

Poor BrownsGAF.
Holy shit. Sorry, Browns-GAF. At least he's in a better place now.
WTF. What a worthless organization.
Holy crap. Huge trade.
You don't trade Trent Richardson
Jesus Christ...
Per FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Browns felt Richardson "didn't fit Chud's (coach Rob Chudzinski's) offense," which doesn't make a lick of sense. Moving on, new GM Mike Lombardi essentially punts away the 2013 season. In Indianapolis, Richardson joins an offense with high-scoring potential that wants to play smash-mouth football with a heavy dose of power running. He'll eventually be an every-down back. Particularly after losing TE Dwayne Allen for the season, aggressive Colts GM Ryan Grigson felt he needed an additional offensive playmaker. He's got one. Richardson will carry top-five running back potential in Indianapolis.
...
You don't trade Trent Richardson

Fitz is hurt? That sucks actually. Im not sure who else they have. Im sure we will get burned regardless.
our secondary is beat up.
Brees is due for a good game after playing two teams that know us very well.

He hurt his hammies last Wed. and after the game against the Lions, said he went into that game 60%. You could tell he lost speed and burst and then he missed the second half of the game. It's expected he'll sit out all of this week's practice at least until Friday but still play regardless. Floyd and Roberts are still great and will produce if Fitz isn't ready and our fourth and fifth string made plays while Fitz was out in the second half last week. I expect us to lose, especially since the game is in NO, but your D will give us a chance. Most likely Graham will abuse us with D Wash out as I said before.

Browns have a good defense. If HOyer can get going somehow they would be alright. Steelers are super weak, Ravens are all beat up, and Cincinatti is a wildcard. Browns still got a shot to compete.
Also remember the kind of hits Trent put on people are illegal now anyway.

Yeah, and I love Cleveland doing this now. Obviously they won't get shit for Weeden ever but trading Trent and trying to make something out of Holmgren's shit sandwich is the right move.

We demoted Greg Little aswell today, so guys will still be playing for a job, though.
I wouldn't be surprised if we actually trade Mack aswell somewhere this year.

In light of today's events, Richardson trade and Hoyer starting (apparently Lombardi has long been an admirer of Hoyer, WTF!!), I'd like to now say that the Raiders will pick no higher than 3rd, Jags and Browns will be fighting for 1st overall.

You guys have a good right guard?

Todd Herremans play has been lacking recently even when healthy. And Danny Watkins was a colossal bust for us and is the back up in Miami now.

I understand how some of you are saying the Colt's got fleeced but think about this for a second. They are basically getting Trent for free this year. The Browns didn't wait until the end of the season to trade him. So they get him this year, and next year. The Browns could of asked for Bradshaw or another running back to at least block lol. Browns basically NO MAS the season.
