In my mind an incomplete pass implies that that you were actually intending to complete a pass. There shouldn't be penalties for an incomplete pass, but I'm just not getting why the pocket makes a difference in the situation I described. I'm not for or against the rule. Just curious.

Looked like a punch to me.

Still though 3 fumbles over 161 catches is a drop in the bucket. Works out to 1 fumble every 54 receptions.
