NFL 2014 Week 9 |OT| NO means NO

Bitch it's only going to get colder. We might be getting flurries on Friday in Milwaukee, I was told. Good thing my Nathan Drake getup includes two thermals!

It better not be as cold as last Winter. Walking around campus when it was -10 sucked.

My car also can't handle driving on snow.

This is not respectful

I just arrived in Seattle to visit until Saturday...any recommendation of places to visit or eat or just stuff I should know in general as a visitor from California?

I will start one: the roads here are so small! The house I'm staying at the road is big enough to fit only one car and yet it is two way street...

I gotta say tho its a thing of beauty to see century link stadium and safeco right next to each other!!!

Farmer's Almanac projects it as being nearly as bad as last winter. I remember the walk up the hill to school being the worst shit ever. My tiny ass Focus also sucks with any precipitation, tires fucking spin if it's even a little wet.

I only really buy Nintendo games day one anymore. Hardly ever have any major issues. I remember being super psyched for Uncharted 3, but then that issue with the aiming surfaced and I ended up waiting until a month afterwards to pick it up.

I don't understand why Chip insists on running these play action read option plays constantly. I saw it all throughout the Cardinals game. With that shoddy oline he needs to leave a back in for protection and for roll out screens.

My buddy wants to fight me. He refuses to believe the world will allow there to be a black super hero movie.

He's already telling me somehow the movie will get cancelled. He's so confident he bet me $500.

Instead I'll have him pay for the movie on opening night.

Spawn was black.

We also had meteor man.

It's been done before.

I did not say it was done well but it's already happened.

I really don't get what Eagles can do to improve the QB position. They won't finish in the top 10 and trades don't work in the NFL. Barkley is garbage and Sanchez is probably at best a good back up. I guess they could gamble big, trade tons of their picks, and move into the top 10 to pick up Mariota. Maybe package Foles, their own 1st round pick, and a 3rd round pick for a top 5 pick?

Foles is regressing and has become a turnover machine. At least with other QBs even if they are turnover prone they make up for it by doing something extraordinarily well. Foles can't run and has a terrible arm. Worst yet he seems to have lost all confidence in stepping up into his throws.

He back peddles at the slightest pressure, holds onto the ball forever, and is late on all deep routes. And since he is always back-peddling the ball never has any zip on it.

If this was still week 1-3 I'd be calm. But this is a terrible pattern now. All the lucky throws and gambles he got away with last season are backfiring.

Just this past game he threw a terrible throw during the 2 min drill before half, where he lobbed the ball up into triple coverage. Luckily the 3 Cardinals and Riley Cooper all knocked each other down and it wasn't picked off. I don't get it. How is he not getting this? A sack is better than these soft lobs, late forced throws which end in INTs.

The Eagles are winning in spite of him. Worse yet Chip has somehow morphed into a regular NFL coach. Last year he was daring, doing crazy shit like going for 2 in the first quarter of a random game. Or constantly running the ball on 3rd and long and converting. And not running to give up because he didn't trust Vick/Foles but because he was fully confident in his scheme.

Now? We seem to be passing passing and passing some more. Seems more and more like Reid. No reason why Foles should be throwing 50 times in such a close game. Yes Arizona has a great run D but work around it!

They blitzed on almost every play, yet the Eagles threw only 1 screen to the backs and even that was to back up RB Polk. McCoy was picking up yards but it would always be one carry per 4-5 plays. Before that last drive they didn't run back to back the whole game. And when they did run back to back on that last drive? They had great success!

Something seems seriously off. I don't know if its Chip trusting Foles too much, Foles losing confidence, the lack of DeSean to scare the D from stacking the box, or McCoy just losing 2-3 steps all at once.

Yeah they are 5-2 and the 2 losses were to two good teams on the road but even in the wins they have struggled with consistency, smart play calling, and running the ball.

The D at least surprisingly has improved.

There is no way they are going to be able to put together a package for a top 5 pick. Foles is the guy. That's why it is silly to think about benching him. You have to let him play through his struggles and hope he improves.

The good thing is we know he has it in him. Last year proved that. It's not like we are sitting here watching Christian Ponder and hoping he somehow shows that he can be a competent QB in this league. I think the criticism from last season of taking too many sacks has altered his play a bit too much. That plus the increased pressure due to the o-line injuries has really screwed up his footwork in the pocket. That's led to poor velocity and accuracy and, subsequently, more interceptions.

I'm not worried about Chip's playcalling. He ran it plenty in all of the other games, including on 3rd and longs. The gameplan against the Cards was obviously to throw because they have a great front 7. I think in hindsight Chip would probably call a more balanced game because, yeah, they were having success on the ground.

The team isn't playing up to its full potential but they are still 5-2. Last year they weren't playing up to their full potential in the first half of the season and they were 3-5. I much prefer the position we are in now because if we start realizing our potential down the stretch we are in a good position to get one of those first-round byes.
